  1. Great riding with Anthony- Getsmacked. The desert got some rain but not a big soaker out of Saturday’s storm. Perfect temps. Played let’s see what we can do with out getting stuck. Rode lots of steep sand that we can’t make when it’s dry. Went rock crawling on the north side of the mountain. Lots of black diamond trails.
  2. 9am. Very close to the info board Wheeler Rd near the dunes. Whoops, dunes, single track ridge lines and rock crawling. Intermediate and up riders. Silver F150. Orange bike.

    Picked up 2018 300XC—W with one hour on it at Veys yesterday. Time to setup another bike. Going to S101 for full race valve and spring job. Ordered Slavens Racing Lectron Mule carburetor. Seat Concepts seat on order New BRP sub bar stabilizer coming soon. Tubliss setup and Golden Tires soon to follow. Plan on racing this bike this season and saving the 500 for dual sport rides. Breakin ride 2pm today at Pine Valley.

    New pipe works great. Revs to 100 percent. Taller gearing needed Overheats in the dunes very quickly though. Going to call Slavens tomorrow. I think it’s running to lean.

    First ride today after getting it dialed in. Wow. George at Suspension 101 did something over the top with this one. Told me he wanted to try some proto type stuff on it. It’s over my head what he did (ask him) but it’s amazing. No desire to touch a clicker. Plowed hard into deep whoops and rocks at speed and it’s so good all I can say is you’d have to try it to see for yourself. The combo of the Slavens Mule high compression head and the Slavens Lectron carb is spot on. Starts easy. Idles. The bog it had stock is gone. Didn’t touch a thing as directed by Jeff Slavens. My only small complaint is it kind of signs off on the pipe (stock)at about 65. Tops out at 75. Just installed a Pro Curcuit Platinum Pipe which is supposed to make more power especially on the big end. I hope so as I plan on Desert racing this bike. Shooting for speeds of 85-90 Desert trip tomorrow for more testing.

    Welcome. You’d fit right in with my crew. We’re between 35 -55 and several of still race D38. Cant ride much during the week but several in my crew can. We love the hard stuff too. Will be racing most of the D37 Sprint Enduro races this year if you want to join us.
  14. Been awhile since I posted a ride. 9am kick stands up at the info board (Wheeler Rd close to the dunes. Silver F150) Wet sand, whoops and rocky 2 track. We should have the place to ourselves with freshly watered down sand on Super Bowl Sunday DVR your football and come ride. Intermediate terrain and speed.

    Now a cheap mod for you. Go down 1 tooth on your counter sprocket. It will go about go about 90 but get there much quicker. (Had mine up to 110 with a strong tail wind with stock gearing in the dirt. To fast) I went 2 teeth smaller on the rear but not necessary. That lets you move the rear wheel back further in the swing arm and makes it more stable at speed in deep sand washes.

    Steve at C&D Cycles usually has them in stock. Ask for a SDAR discount. Probably with in $10 of RM. I have the JD a have ridden same bike with the Vortex. Couldn’t tell the difference. Save your money to get your suspension setup. 2nd best mod you can do to this bike after on uncorking it Atleast get it sprung for your weight so you can get the sag set properly. Then hold on tight.

OEM cooling fan. Seat concepts comfort seat Soon to come Radiator guards Better skid plate Recluse and left hand brake Lots of love by Suspension 101 And it’s only got 3 hours on it. I’m going for lite weight but with a bit of extra torque to haul my 250 pound butt around.

    Brian. Any reason for the RK Teck head VS the Slavens Mule high compression head. Slavens claims it has more coolant capacity than the SX head.
