    Loctite Melts Plastic

Thanks Nick, I ride an old DR350. Turn signals were added. I guess I need to run down my electrical system, and see what's under the seat. (Electricity is voodoo to me.)

    Friends Hit a Deer

Some very dear friends went down tonight after hitting a deer on a new Honda FB6. Some of you old San Diego folks may remember Lamont Bryden. He moved to TN some years back and has become famous in the Can-Am Spyder world (Lamonster). He and wife Chris were 2-up on the new Honda. No details yet. Bike totaled and bad road rash. In the hospital. Thanks for praying, Phil

    Friends Hit a Deer

Check out the distance traveled after impact. They both ended up on the pavement in front of the bike. He is an extremely skilled rider with hundreds of thousands miles on the road. His last accident was in the early 1980's when he was rear ended on an XR500 on 8W in El Cajon at 55mph. He walked off the freeway when he realized he wasn't dead.

Thanks, guys. They will be OK. Just skinned and bruised. He is sick that he finally convinced her to get on a bike with him. But thank God they both survived.
  5. My DR350 header glows in the dark. I understand it indicates a lean condition. Been trying to richen it up, but still glowing. Should I be worried? Also, now that I have a temp gauge, I'm wondering what is normal vs dangerous. My gauge reads at the spark plug. Hope you're having a great weekend. Phil
  6. Cool video. Wow, that looks like a fun trail. Do you know the name?

    The Glowing Header

Thanks Guys. Appreciate the help. I am not experienced, but I'm guessing the jetting does not match the big bore kit, air box mod, and supertrapp exhaust. Runs like crazy, but I worry about longevity. Head temps do not seem excessive from what I have read. Thanks again.

Hi All, Just getting into riding again after many years. (I used to camp in Pine Valley and explore the Lagunas on my old Honda 90 when I was 15. I also rode all the hills north of Santee - in the early 1970's. I would traverse Rattlesnake Mtn. - now Sky Ranch - from my home in El Cajon.) My 3 boys and I recently bought a bunch of small old thumpers. We've been riding various trails in East County. I am working on getting street licensed for the first time. My bike is a 1994 DR350 with some sort of big-bore and cam kit in it. It's the dirt version but it's been plated since 1995. It's been in the shop most of the 5 weeks that I've owned it. I'm having a Trail-tech speedometer installed and the cam chain tensioner extended just now. Many of your posts have been very helpful. I am looking for new areas to explore. Thanks.
