Dude, I ride red now... It's an Italian thing, you might not understand

I hope we do the Desert Dash this year!

I like to use the Desert Dash maps. I use them to plan my two day overland Jeep trips and they are nice to carry in your backpack when you are on a bike.

We adopted Ranger and South Kernan. Those trails look pretty good right now so I think I will just bring the Jeep... unless some of you guys want to work on Tombstone?
I will be in a blue Jeep wearing a Dessert Dash shirt, stop and say hi.

It's the rocking that ruins a hitch hauler. If you hook one of the tie downs from the bars to the truck bumper it will stop the rocking and make the carrier last forever. I've had a cheep Harbor Freight carrier for 9 years that I use off road behind my Jeep and haul big heavy street bikes with. That's a nice carrier you bought!

That's a pretty difficult area for big bikes.

Pine Creek Road is closed, I checked this morning (8-29-22)

I took a ride out Pine Creek this morning to check on the Valley Fire. All of the flames are knocked down but it's still smoldering. The ground crews are still out there to keep an eye on things but all air support has stopped. It looks like it started near the cabins by the first creek crossing. They stopped the fire at the road that goes to Noble Mines and it did not get into Mt. Laguna. In one spot the fire was on the west side of Pine Creek Road and came within a mile or two of my house. I think they will need to close Pine Creek Road for a while to keep people from driving off-road.- 1

this means your suspension is not right, not enough spring to hold up the rear end. You might be able spin your chair about 10 times clockwise to tighten it up. let us know how this works.

All of the trails are marked but the fire roads are not

Brent, you are a way better rider than you give yourself credit for. If you want to progress to harder trails I would love to be there. I know you prefer to ride Sundays, just LMK. You could be riding the most difficult in no time

5 of us showed up for today's ride. About 2 hours in I got a rear flat (slow leak) and told everyone to continue on without me, they didn't want to leave but I assured them I had a spare tube and spoons just in case and I would be fine. I was able to get it pumped up half way with my peace of crap pump and that got me to Buckman Springs road. A Jeeper saw me struggling with my pump and asked if I needed help, he filled my tire with his pump and I was on my way at full speed. It was getting low by the time I got to Hwy. 80 so I slowed down to 45, at Sunrise Hwy. it was mostly flat so limped home (4 more miles) at 35. The weather was prefect and I had a good time even with the flat tire.

Mr Jones, if you want to ride out of Pine Valley on Sunday morning, maybe 8:00?, I would be game to take the Kernan to Corral Canyon sense the weather will be nice. I know all the cool spots. Let me know and we could post in the informal rides section

Welcome neighbor! I learned to ride dirt bikes at 53 after coming from street bikes. I take Kernan to get to Coral Canyon pretty often and I'm looking forward to riding with you.

Ha ha, that "fun group" is my friends and I am the lost rider. One rider didn't wait at one of the turns and I kept going. When I got to Diablo drop-off I didn't know they had went back to the trucks looking for me and I went down the drop by myself thinking I would see them in Fish Creek. I called them from the Iron Door and drank beer while waiting for them to drive all the way around to pick me up. I had a great day in the desert, them not so much.

This makes me sad. I had 5 riders ready to go this year and a lot of other friends that I haven't asked yet. We might go anyway since I have tracks form years past but it won't be the same.

I would like to do this. I will stay off the Connector and I have only done Ranger downhill. I will hit Bear Valley rd at 8:00 to be there by 9. Is anyone else going?
