    Big Bike Camping

Understandable the dates do not work for everyone, though getting a sense there are a few people interested I will most likely head out this weekend to get my fix - I will post more details as they develop for those who still might be interested Unfortunately I am unavailable 12/9-12/21 sounds like we could put a little more thought into it, and come up with something that accommodates the majority some of the suggestions Ken threw out are tempting and very do-able I like the sound of early Jan - full moon 01/09 January 7th / 8th would be ideal with potential extension if this gets big plenty of time to chime in and generate a true adventure, maybe use a few toys you find under the tree Paul B... I have an extra set of (Louis Vuitton) camping gear for you
  4. Looks good Dave I will be hauling my bike on the RiggerDan Hauler BUT I have the option of using a 5X10 utility trailer if someone wants to jump onboard & needs a ride Leaving the eastern Jamul area around 7:30ish
  5. Great pictures... I rigged up the LED walls and lighting trusses in the Hyundai booth - take it all down tue/wed...then ready to ride

    Thursday Riding

I ride that area quite often as its right behind my house, I usually come up from Japatul to Lawson base then go gate to gate and back down... but there has been a very big path around the gate you are talking about, so I have been going through once in a while and making a loop out of it theres some Sunrise Power stuff up there as well - always been quiet never had any problems - do you have any intel on Elena / Barber mountain off of honey springs

    Big Bear ride report

Nice report Looks like the weather could not have been any better, such a great time of the year... never been in that neck of the woods but definitely on the radar PS: you can never have enough of that trail karma in your tool bag Thanks for the report
  21. PLEASE NOTE: Takes qualified rigging personnel to install it was a quick fix to get the bike off the stand - ended up ratchet strapping the stand to a furniture dolly then lowering the bike down (and securing it) so I can move it around into the light so I can see what I am doing..... the picture of the bike on the stand, on the dolly was not as impressive - but seems to working quite well

    Tourist Route

Nothing better then a ride through the desert with an experienced tour guide Temps were tolerable scenery & company were great heres a few pictures that I was able to snap on our brief stops to gulp down a little water and soak it all in.... Thanks again chronologically placed - Stonewall in early morning light above - and heading into Julian below Not sure exactly where we stopped, but it was starting to warm up... Quite possibly the most photographed bike out there - or running a close second to PB's Contemplated the route below, but decided to keep it touristy Covered with cool artwork Taking in the moment at higher elevation - really enjoyed that part...Jasper Truck Trail, I believe Almost had to pull out the rescue harness and rappelling line - good job in those boots The end

    Sunday

Heres a few shots from my camera yesterday @ Corral Trying to keep up with Pee Bee, my creative windows for photo op's were somewhat limiting... The BMW650 totally stole the show, developed a meaner and meaner look at every intersection - really great riding...!! I had a great time "dual sported" from Jamul - with a 0600 departure its never that fun waking up early but the ride / morning light was amazing Topped off in PV then took bear valley to Kernan over the hill to meet the guys First time meeting bikeslut and was looking forward to riding with him - as Paul said technical difficulties A+ for good attitude We all ended the ride successfully Eddie and I took Kernan back over the hill and back to PV for some fuel a well needed ice cold Coca Cola He jumped on the 8 and I took 79 home Thanks again and glad to have met thane, doctor, and 650 wild man He doesn't even know he's a superstar yet.....Nice windshield Put some antlers on them........ Notice the windshield taking shape of a guillotine Well, I think the picture says it all....... Slight trailside plastic reconnection, I think Paul was directing the operation from left shoulder....Doctor was just making sure? THE END
