  1. What a beautiful day in the desert... Bagstr guided 4 riders through 100 miles of the southern portion of the park, with great scenic sand under our tires it was big smiles for all... Thanks again for an amazing time and it was a pleasure to meet and ride with Bushwacker & Alex.....handle? I dragged a buddy out from Jamul who has not been out in that area for over 20 years...trying to get him involved in SDAR....makes me realize how many people out there can and have rode for many years, but lost touch with riding partners - just saying how lucky I feel to have joined and met really great people to ride with OK on with the (taken from my phone) pictures Not a bad way to start the day Enjoying the moment Still enjoying it... Sandstone Canyon Thanks again
  2. I would assume they serve as some form of protection obviously if your leg is not under that box....thats not good one day you will have all your camping gear, tools and supplies and you will be glad you rode (trained) once in a while with your cargo boxes on firm believer if you can get through most with the boxes just think what you can do without them PS: Great looking bike
  3. sorry we missed you... late nights seem a little harder to recover from these days - "speaking for myself" glad the buggies did not make contact..... hope to see you on the next one
  4. We were hot on your tracks.......... Pretty sure I remember seeing the tracks by fish creek where you stopped and took the picture glad that 300 is working for you What a great day out there...

I Encountered a Mountain Lion Today

As much as they are feared, its sad to see such a strong animal down like that... Moving here 7 years ago from NYC my wife would not walk outside the house (at night) for the first month or so...for fear of getting eaten by a mountain lion... Sounds funny now but it was pretty serious then - we now have a cat living in the oak grove less then 1/2 mile away, that the neighbors have seen and I have heard if this was 7 years ago I would have been (forced) back to 9th ave. & 56th st. street kindly asking the dealers to stop working off the hood of my car....and peeing on my tires...
  9. The 8' long 2X4 is something every responsible rider should carry...

Well, I didn't exactly expect that...

The only problem there, did PM know what day it was....... I always tell myself that crashing or getting injured is never part of the equation, and when it happens its a massive dose of reality Really sorry to hear its worse then you expected I never handle injury well but a good attitude and some PT goes a long way So get well soooooon R

    Find your camera

wow - I knew the camera provided data that was stored in the picture, but would never imagined to that extent I know a lot of them provide GPS info as well 5K for a camera is not for the passionate amateur, I hope he gets it back
  13. - Looking forward to it......

    Adv bike?

The KTM fan that I am..... - hard to find (KTM Adventure Bikes) but they are out there - the 06 - 950 would be ideal last year of the carb I think... - assume it will have a decent resale value if taken care of - will satisfy all your off road desires in addition to comfy pavement miles if need be - would look good sitting next to the other orange bikes in the garage

  23. I keep telling myself I want to camp and ride.......... and keep watching the days pass Considering a big bike adventure (small bikes are welcome-if you can camp off of it) just want to load up with some minimal camping gear and spend the night outside haven't put a lot of thought into actual location / skill level - open to suggestions ideally roll out Sat AM and ride, making it to the camping destination roll out Sun AM and ride, making it back safely to where ever we came from I do not consider myself to be ultra aggressive on the big bike but would like to explore a little and have a good time doing it, so scenery and good company play a big role Let me know your thoughts and more then happy to help the bike / camping packing process.. Nothing set in stone just looking for some feed back - This weekend would be good for me PS: keeping it in the 100/200 mile range I think is smart - unless something looks really good
  24. Not sure what time it was but woke up to a massive hail storm an inch or two landed and sounded like a freight train - all melted this morning and very wet here, if the winds do pick up at least the fire danger will minimal...... I hope
