    Jamul residents?

I think it would take a good week to type the story behind how I found (and fell in love with) Jamul.......... Moving from 56th Street & 9th ave in NYC to the dirt rural roads of jamul has been nothing but a treat Unfortunately it was a very difficult adjustment for my wife (who finally got her drivers license @ 40) as theres not to many taxi's and subways in this neck of the woods....but I tightened up the grip and twisted her arm a little harder.......(: - obviously she has grown to love it as well If you are familiar with this type of environment / living the adjustment period I assume would differ theres lots and lots of land out here, and have found the locals to be very friendly, when it come to food & social spots it's not NYC but then again i'm no Paul Bowers..... its a 30 mile round trip for me to be social and eat - so thats a lot of driving when you want to loosen up I would be more then happy to take you for a little tour of whats happening around here, it would take about 3 minutes to see the town ....and 3 hours to see some of the trails so getting that feeling I could go on forever - I will try to sum up the Jamulian experience I always said there were only 2 things that concerned me Fire and Rattlesnakes - well now i'm used to the rattle snakes and petrified at the thought of fire The summers are HOT really HOT and the winters are absolutely beautiful and everything in-between is just amazing living at 2500'ish thats one thing I would take into consideration in hind sight I probably get another 50+ days of sunshine in the spring as the town (and the rest of SD) will sit in the marine layer its been 8 years and my only regret was not doing it sooner Good luck with your search and don't tell anybody else about Jamul.............(: - it truly is a gem

otay truck trail in a car?

that road is practical paved from TT they have graded it and paved it a few months ago (maybe not paved) but what ever they do with some tar and pebbles i think it would be no problem with a car........... not to far away if you need help........(:
  7. lyons valley, mother grundy, lawson valley.....all great riding can eaisly be 50/50 dirt road if you are interested in a little neighborhood ride let me know, I have off all this week (as weekdays are best) we can do a casual noob friendly ride, favoring the early mornings is smart....jamul heats up pretty quick these days little dry and slippery in some areas, but still very scenic and enjoyable
