If it gets to the point that you can no longer lift your bike by yourself, it's time to just get four wheels. -
Depends…

I know SDAR has worked with SDORC in the past and we have some members that make it to their meetings. I'm not sure if SDAR will have representation at this event but it might be cool if we did. Hopefully some of you can make it, looks like a good time (I will be traveling.) https://sdorc.org/jamboree/?fbclid=IwAR3VTNQpwF51VFg3R70uxX9kNe7R2hSuE5kb1DjJSP7yosTnEu4dpvWE4GE

I just want more horsetorques on every engine I own!
-
I suppose a person could also use a musty old CamelBak bladder. The advantage to that is, it already has a fuel hose attached to it. I have a few laying around...this may actually be a video idea!

Hmm, I will test mine. I did a YouTube video on storing gasoline in all kinds of plastic containers. Ziplock bags, trash bags, plastic grocery bags…all of them held for weeks but a few had minor seepage towards the end. None disintegrated or completely failed.

There are some decent and reasonably priced mounts available for these. I have one somewhere in my garage. I had one of those mounted to my Super Tenere for the entire time I owned it, only used for starting fires.

I’ve done the water/Gatorade bottle for years, never had an issue and never had to walk. Used a five quart oil jug on the Dempster Highway where it’s 250 miles to the first fuel. Worked great. RotoPax is bulky and heavy for a bike, in my opinion. Better for Tacoma’s to show off in the parking lot. Guess the GS guys could run them, too. I have a couple of the Starbucks coffee bladders, never used one to carry fuel on the bike yet but would work similar to the Armadillo deal and it was free. I like free.

I clicked the ad yesterday and saw the price....today it's a lot less. I guess @Goofy Footer gets it right once in a while. If you're used to buying WalMart camping supplies then the price might hit you in the feels, but for backpacking gear this is a solid price. I might have to replace my 15 year old bag.

Definitely want to pull the stator cover, remove the bolts on the flywheel and put thread lock on them. They come loose, back out and then chew up the stator.
-
I have the same one, should be right.
-
Sounds correct, those sprague clutches are a kind of common failure on those. I’m pretty sure I have the flywheel puller bolt, but I’m down in Lemon Grove. If nobody closer has one I will dig it out.

How KTM came to rule the off road scene

I was at both events he qualified at. I stopped in the pits and talked with him a bit in Dallas. I had gone for a morning run from my hotel to the stadium and waved to a couple people, his van of people waved back. I said thanks for the morning motivation. Just a Sprinter van and a Walmart pop-up. The huge factory rigs are amazing, but seeing guys gritting it out like this are inspiring. -

Some of us may have sprockets laying around, too.
-
Find out what sprockets you have and report back here, several of us own or have owned DRZ400’s and will give you suggestions. Getting the right springs is also highly recommended. I can assist along with many others here.

While I agree partially, no carpenter uses just one hammer to do their job in the best manner. Could a good carpenter use a tack hammer all day long, or a sledge hammer? Sure...they could but a truly skilled professional would look at the job that needed to be done and then choose the right tool for that job. I guess what I'm saying is: I need more bikes. -
Last one isn’t horizontal, sorry!
