If the back side of the shifter has a pointed knife type edge, you should get out the grinder and grind it flat with rounded edges. Those big bore bikes don't have good clearance there and it does happen.

Why not just get the thermo switch working. Then the fan only runs when needed and you can focus on riding. They sell different temperature switches at the auto store. You want a 190F switch.

Mine get hot and make a nasty nail on chalk board sound but only if I am really dragging brake. And I am running the ebc carbon red pads! Had my rear brake seize up on a ride a few weeks ago. The fluid was shot. It came out like sludge. All is well now. You may just need to get some fresh fluid in case your brakes are getting g stuck on like mine were.

You should find out if the estart stators can be modified like the older ones. I believe they can and that is the free solutuon. You just need their 100W regulator. I have the magnetic wire and know how to mod the stators. Have done a half dozen or so of them now.

You can run something like the 70/65w osram rally light if you do the trail tech dc conversion. 20$ for a really nice light. Thats what I have on my 200. http://store.candlepower.com/h4hb29003bulbs.html You need a 50$ 100w rectifier/regulator from trail tech and do the conversion on your stator yourself. If you want help converting your stator and doing DC 100W setup for cheaper than buying their full kit let me know.

You can run straight peak and get the same effect for less money. Read the bottle and look at the boiling point of Evans vs any other non diluted anti freeze. It's the same boiling point. I just mix my antifreeze with less water if I want to raise the boiling point for instance I would run 70% coolant in a 4T and 50% in my 2T. Does not have to be mixed 50/50 for any reason. You can custom tune your mix for your needs. 12$ a gallon. It's glycol. So is evans. So is engine ice. It's not some magic fluids. All of the coolants have the same basic boiling point and ingredients. You can look at material safety data sheets for all these products online and see exactly what you are buying if you care to. They are very easy to find with google.
