jimbob 0 Posted October 19, 2010 KTM listed this last week on the open forum, so I thought I would give it a try. PBTF had a Ride for Kids on 17 Oct at Mira Costa College(Leucadia). About 130 riders paid $35, and I volunteered my bike as an escort to take a family member of PBTF for a ride. Although it was abit drizzly, Sean, who's Sister Claire, was diagnosed with PBTF 4 years ago, when she was 2, got to ride on the back of my aprilia futura, and had a great time! He had never ridden a bike before, and he enjoyed fitting and wearing the helmet, learned about mounting and dismounting a bike, and although the pace was slow, seemed to enjoy being able to think about something else for a chance. At the end of the day, the ride raised over $126,000! They look forward next year to holding the 7th Annual, so pencil in your long-range calendars 16 Oct 2011. Thanks for offering me the opportunity to take a kid riding!
Vagabundo 0 Posted October 19, 2010 Extremely cool Jimbob! I do the PBTF dirtbike ride every year out of Glen Helen and it's a really well organized event and a lot of fun. PBTF is a cause that's so easy to get behind. They have different rides all year long. If you're not familiar with the organization, take a look here - Ride for Kids
