NOMAD5326 0 Posted September 17, 2009 Hey guys/gals. Been away a bit with work travels and haven't been able to visit/ride. I don't normally share work stuff w/ my play life but thought this was important enough to. Last week during a turnover operation between out incoming/outgoing team one of out operators was critically wounded when he hit a IED pressureplate that was daisy chained to take out a wide area. Fortunately, the system didn't fully complete and some charges didn't go, saving alot of men. Unfortunately, the Team Leader was hit, critically wounding him and severing his legs. The Team leader was able to tourniquite himself, pull himself from the fight, and direct the team away from the blast area and safely into him for extraction. Dan is now back in the US undergoing treatment and rehab. We have all the faith in the world that he will be back, faster Nd stronger than ever. His treatment as most of us know will be long and extensive and will require that he remain in Bethesda. Friends of the family have set up a site to help keep everyone updated but to also contribute to help the family as they travel from home to MD to be with Dan. Below is the link to Dans site and even if all you do is get a glimpse into the life of a brave warrior, brother and friend then it's done it's job. Talk soon and hopefully get back on the bike and out again. http://www.dancnossen.org/ Regards, Mike
