Breaking News Alert: Brush Fire Burning In Santa Ysabel

A brush fire rages in Santa Ysabel Thursday morning. Flames are burning near State Routes 78 and 79. So far, the blaze has burned more than 100 acres.

Crews are now evacuating residents. Sheriffs are evacuating the Witch Creek and Mesa Grande areas. News 8 has been told that there are evacuation centers in Santa Ysabel and Ramona.

News 8 has several crews on the way and will have more information as soon as it becomes available.

guess we will have to wait and see if the trails get shut down.
