This forum, Upcoming ORGANIZED RIDES, is for club-sponsored rides like the annual Barstow to Vegas ride or the SDAR annual Desert Dash. I think these organized rides are usually AMA sanctioned.

The kind of ride bikeslut was talking about - "Let's meet at wherever and take so and so dirt road." - are the ones you find under Informal Local Rides / Who's Going Riding.
