Goofy Footer 549 Posted March 20, 2021 I recently acquired a 250 trail bike with 43mm conventional showa cartridge forks. They are sprung soft but fully adjustable. I'd like a bit more dampening and may need to preload the front end with spacers. One of the seals is leaking so it's time for a All Balls seal kit and fork oil. The manual calls for 5wt fork fluid/oil. On older damper rod forks I know it's common to increase Fluid Wt (viscosity) to increase dampening. I did this on a TW200. --> For a cartridge fork that calls for 5wt will 10wt improve or hurt my front end?
