Mexican Visa, Tecate

Hi All,

I have a question, I plan on heading down to Mikes in a month or so. I am planning on crossing at Tecate I will need a Visitors visa, where the heck is the office? I cant seem to find any information for it. Ive read where some people walk across get the Visa then walk back and then ride there bikes into Mexico.

I know I don't need one if im down for less than 72 hours, but if you go further down than Ensenada your supposed to have one, just playing it safe.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

We go down to Mikes twice a year (heading that way end of Nov). 80% of us do not stop and get the Visa however there is a small group that does. I'll get the specifics from them. If I recall correctly there is an immigration office near secondary inspection right after you cross in Tecate. They do it all online and get it stamped when entering mexico. Good for 6months.

I use to go every weekend years ago up to 1 week at times never got one

Says good for ensenada not needed so just going to mikes dont worry about it you wont be asked
