Primitive Camping Options north of Moorpark, Ca

So in April or May we will be going to a dog show that is going to last 3 days in Moorpark, Ca. To avoid huge hotel bills we are wanting to camp in the National Forest just North of Moorpark. I've included a link to the area that we are looking around. I also plan to make an early spring run up there to scout the area.

The catch is the spot has to be able to be accessed by a VW Jetta station wagon and a Honda Pilot. That may limit my options but I know lots of these FS routes are pretty well graded. I assume that they are probably closed the moment due to seasonal weather. Thanks for any help folks.
