Joliet 0 Posted November 30, 2007 What an icon. With as many broken bones as he had, he was probably in pain all the time. Still hate to see him go, he was larger than life. I have been all over the world and have never met a person that didn't know who Evil Knievel was. RIP.
tntmo 898 Posted November 30, 2007 Another motorcycle icon gone. He was quite the showman with the leathers and cape. Lots of guys jump farther than him today, but to do it on those Harleys took some cojones. I don't know if anyone else noticed that Bud Ekins died a month or so ago too. He was the guy who actually did the fence jump at the end of The Great Escape.

carguy 1 Posted December 2, 2007 Seems getting old lets you be in Awe of the great people before you. Jumping busses, motor homes or canyons is not regular riding. The leather clad star studded exhibitions entertained us for decades. We only wish we could have the power to encapsulate the crowd as the legend had us. Evil will never die as long as we remember. Are you happy in life?
