robertaccio 412 Posted June 18, 2014 recommended carb mods full JD Jetting kit w/leak jet and AP oring mod. = much better carburation all around, a very worthwhile mod. powernow (or other brand) type intake splitters if you can find them = very clean pull from low rpms FCR long mix screw- once mine was set I rarely touched it, but the extended ones make tweaks super easy. sure shot or other AP cover mod. I had it but dont really think it was needed (bling for my skill and power settings)
robertaccio 412 Posted June 18, 2014 exhaust OEM is EU high quality (Arrow or LeoVince supplied), DOT muffler weighs stupid poundage @ 8lbs good mod to find a TC (Ti) system and build a screen sparky into it from an FMF or PC S/A kit, lose 4-5 lbs. or get a slip on S/A muffler to lose some weight back there. From muffler weight reduction, TE Handling is greatly improved in side to side transitions and very noticable in G out type stuff ie: LSCD scenarios. Getting that weight off that far back and high place is a big one for much better bike feel.
robertaccio 412 Posted June 18, 2014 Cooling system Change out the cross over tube for a high pressure fuel line or other hi temp/pressure line and mini hose clamp it in place. Replace the OEM plastic Tee fitting with a metal one or an automotive GFBN Tee for a car heater system (GFBN Glass Filled Black Nylon= High temp rating) Use ZipTy XF-1 nonaqueous coolant ( relabled Evans motorsports coolant) install a 1.8 bar cap if not using XF-1, if using XF-1 no need for a higher pressure cap.
