    Adventure Bikes

Too bad I don't log on that often - otherwise I would have answered sooner. I've ridden both the 640 and I own a 950. If you're planning on touring I'd recommend the 950. It's a smoother ride and passing cages with gear is no biggie. Don't get me wrong, the 640 will tour, but it is a little rough - which in my opinion will get a tad old. The big bike can be a little of a chore to handle on single track because of weight, but open desert (open anything) it rocks.

    990 Adventure

+1 for the Katoom. I love my 950, and although I considermyself new to dirt and do 90/10 (street/dirt) This thing is sweet everywhere I've been. +10k miles in a little more than a year and I'm doing at least 3k more by the end of October. Luck to you on finding one. I know they're kinda scarce.

    Barbecue Get together

I gotta be at a wedding in Riverside this Saturday. If I make it back in time (could be out for the count on Sunday) I'll stop in. but no promises. Send me a pm w/ location and I'll see what I can do. Could be fun!

    Com Systems

I have a Autocom system installed in my LC8. Wondering what other peolple are runing. I can connect any GMRS/FRS radio to it. I noticed on ADVRider that some people run a separate antenna on the rear rack. Does anyone know radios use that setup?Anyways, I chose the Autocom because I didn't want a box attached to the side of my helmet and I also wanted to be able to connect my GPS voice direction, MP3, and Radio (can also add phone communication, but I never hook it up. ).
