Thanks for the welcomes....I'm in the Del Cerro/San Carlos area, near Patrick Henry High School. The plated 300 is in WA, and I haven't worked out any details re: transferring it here. I will be maintaining a residence there, so hopefully will be able to feign innocence if/when necessary. I know what you mean about the 300...I call it my personal hero motorcycle, but the DR-Z works pretty well for most tracks, too. Tomorrow is full up with parental visits, but I'm game for a ride Wednesday and/or Thursday, and possibly Saturday. Don't make me go riding by myself!

Hey there, everyone. Early 40's San Diego native here that moved up to the PNW (Pacific Northwest) around 13 years ago for work. Since the surf up there is ~140 miles away, and conditions change quickly, then I began to fill the void with more motorcycling. I have family and friends in the SD area, visit often for surf and Mexico riding, and plan to be in the area more and more often. I've been perusing the site and seeing a wealth of local information, as well as some, shall we say, very interesting ride reports .....hopefully I'll be able to hook up now and then with some of you for rides when I'm around, and longer-term do so more regularly. Current adventure-style bikes in the stable include a kitted DR-Z400S, a VStrom DL-1000, and a KTM 300exc 2-smoker w/licence plate. I have the DR-Z with me at the moment, shod with fairly well Baja-worn D606's that I'm hoping to replace manana....still plenty of tread for a day or two worth of riding, though. Short-term, I'll be around for the next week or two, and would love to get out for a mid-week ride this coming week, or possibly something next Saturday.....anyone interested feel free to PM me here or mailto:bluessurf@hotmail dot com.
