  1. I've been looking at this post and two others. The only one that listed a solid itinerary was the street riding one. I have been waiting to see how the remaining ones shaped up, because I have spoken up on a post only to have it fizzle out any way. I have posted a ride or two that had little or no response, even after I put in a firm time and venue. I am going to go on a ride this Saturday, even if it is just my own solo one.

Whoops that might be a teeny bit too much moisture
  3. Weather report sez it'll be a high of about 89-90 degrees out at Ocotillo. Were you thinking of starting at the same place as last time?
  4. That's probably where they go to buy the hardware for their radiator shrouds
  5. Where, exactly is this coffee shop located in Ramona ?
  6. Early like 8:00 am again?
  7. 'Sokay. I have just seen threads evaporate, lately. I have a great minibike for Amago all ready to go. Have fun on the big ride
  8. Maybe try to hit it in June :cray: Between snow and dust :cray:

Wow, that last one is really great! Makes me want to be right there, riding down that hill. I think it's the idea of riding in wet sand and having lots of traction :cray: that is so appealing.
  10. You might as well highjack it. We don't have anything going on it anyway and the other whole thread has been mysteriously highjacked and buried in a vault somewhere out in the Sonoran desert without a ransom, never to be seen again :cray:
  11. Heck if I know :cray: I can't find it either :cray:
  12. I thought this thread pooped out and was restarted and then pooped out again due to fires and trail closures :cray: :cray: :cray:
  13. Yow! Let's plan a club ride for there. Looks like a dream come true and didn't look like it was very dusty.

Electric Motorbike Builder Does a Big OOPS !

Gotta agree with Bikeslut :cray: With out poor judgement we would have never coined the phrase "Famous last words" :cray: .

Electric Motorbike Builder Does a Big OOPS !

Amen to that. That remark pretty much sealed the fate of what was to come next
  16. Guess you'll just have to find out. I saw a couple of big ol' GSs out at the 2003 Elsinore Grand Prix and they looked to be having the time of their life out there on the track

Sand riding practice; the early days
  18. That certainly puts the ADVENTURE in adventure biking And the perfect way to spend a day if you have a sixpack of ratbikes you need to dispose of and you are bored.

    Another Noob on a DRZ400S!

Welcome, noobie We ride Main Divide from time to time (from the Elsinore side). I would like to ride it again after it has rained. I am sure you'll get enough takers to join you on a ride.
  20. Hammer has pictures of himself flying on honda xr 650L dual sport at amago. It can be done but at what price, its just easier on a pure dirt bike. How would a husky TE 250 or 450 do at an mx track? Is it possible to get a plated bike that is a good mx track bike or would a green sticker bike be much better? Not for racing just for having fun jumping and what not. The lighter the weight, the better for jumping. TE450would be better than your 400, the TE250 would be better than the 450. A red sticker MX bike would be better than all of the above.
  21. I happen to have 20 dollars (dont' tell anybody, or they'll think I'm rich!) laying around somewhere. I can ride on Wednsdays and Saturdays. My CRF 150 will beat me senseless (or more senseless) in whoop-de-doos with the stock suspension, but I have other more cushy rides that need to get out and play. I'd be happy to assist your wife with riding technique pointers. When I worked at the old Oceanside Kawasaki shop back in the 80s, the service manager and I would meet on Saturday mornings with some of the mini-KX owners out at a local riding spot and give them some racing pointers. Kids can be fun, as long as they are on dirt bikes . Anybody who is willing to learn and work on their riding skills is fun.

    Oh boy! A sand motorcycle
  23. It costs something for a day use fee? And what do us slow people do besides try not to be used for a berm by the go-fasties ?
