This is a Link to a thoughtful guy over at ADVrider
Looking over this Old discussion, I found that many of these issues are still relevant. In this time of Isolation, I am going through many long term maintenance projects.
Important Topics in this piece.
1. Use Fresh Gas - Ethanol only lasts a few weeks before breaking down. I believe untreated old gas was the cause of my motor failure.
" Gas that has gone bad. Gasoline goes bad over time – especially gasoline with Ethanol. Ethanol has a very short shelf life – only a few weeks. As it ages, it absorbs moisture from the air and forms water particles that collect in the bottom of the tank (near the fuel pump intake) and leaves behind white crystal deposits that can damage your system. If your bike will be sitting for more than a few weeks, always add some stabilizer or Star Tron and keep your tank full. "
2. Clean the Injector periodically
" Fuel residue that builds up over time. This is normal, which is why the manufacturer recommends periodic cleaning or replacing of the injector "
3. Replace fuel filters periodically
" If you bike starts running lean (gets hot, looses power, or pops on deceleration), that may be an indication that one of your filters is getting clogged – or perhaps the injector. "

This is the best bit of intel I have learned from this discussion; the custom bend on the rear supports. Those of us with Non-Macho vehicles have a dragging issue with the extra length off the bumper. The shown angle should help. I wonder if Joe can bend my straight unit?

Go to Track Management and look 👀 at the tracks you have loaded. There is a box to Show or Hide any individual track.

Can we assume you loaded the Mac Version of BaseCamp?
https://www.gpstraining.co.uk/reviews/about-garmin-basecamp---free-route-planning-software
That 76Cx , Is it a Serial device? I have no idea
" System Requirements
- Windows Vista Service pack 2 or later is required. Machines with XP, SP3, Vista with no service pack or Vista service pack can use BaseCamp 4.2.5 available here. .NET framework 4.5 SP1 is required. A current version of .NET will be installed if needed.
- Windows Media Player 11 or greater is required (a free download from Microsoft)
- 1GB of system memory is required, 2GB of system memory is recommended when using BirdsEye Imagery or Garmin Custom Maps.
- A video card that supports Open GL version 1.3 or later is needed to view in 3D
- If you experience problems when interacting with map views make sure you have current video card drivers.
- Basecamp will recognise all MapSource products except BlueChart
- Basecamp does not work with serial GPS devices. " -
MMmmm,, Honesty sometimes hurts. My attempt of understanding human behavior is to visualize the contents of my typical High School class. Just look around, we are still here .

#1 - Yes/No
#2 - Yes, A worn countershaft seal.
#5 - Put the trans in 3rd gear and have your wife sit on the bike while you use a 18" breaker socket handle to loosen Counter Sprocket. Penetrating oil optional.
Drill a small hole in metal shoulder of the seal ( very carefully ). Screw a #6 or #8 drywall screw into hole and pull the seal out.

"Running Off-line" As you are driving around the countryside, does your map re-center current location or do you need to move the map?

Thanks for posting this up. I forwarded the article to my daughter in Dolores. Her significant is devoted to SAR.
Indeed, it is a bummer to know the Dez is out there Waiting. Even at my age it is hard to think of others first. When we get back to it, the experience will be that much more rewarding as we remember how fragile each day.

Jeff Slaven's is rather opinionated. Some advice is quite insightful, some is just his religion. I have found his Videos helpful in learning from an experienced hand. This one is about front to back maintenance. His comments on shock and fork rebuilds are an eye opener. I will cover my ears and pretend I didn't hear that advice.
Lots of videos and lots of intel Bagstr
P.S. - I hope this is in the correct section

Just Started reading the ADVrider navigation forum. Interesting, the IOS vs Android thread.
Question ! - Having my BaseCamp situated on my MacBook OS: Will the Rugged Verizon Android with CaliforniaTrailMap files transfer in and out of BaseCamp?
Thanks, Just Arrived

125 C is equal to 257 F
Randy,
Looks like NAPA sells the stuff. This would be better than construction THHN high temp wire because the THHN has a tough clear layer that cracks and breaks down in high heat and friction. Plus it is only rated at 105 C.
Good Find, Thanks Dave

All These Tools are fine for the garage; but for the trail Chris' cold solder or a crimp is all you can hope for. That said, I would be looking for a wire rubbing the insulation off out on the trail. At that point some 3M 33 tape and a new fuse will get you going.
But Really, We are in the maintenance mode until we get a vaccine. Spending my time with moto maint and fine tuning until That Happy Day.
Thanks for the input Gents

Oracle,
I bought the Slaven's CPC 5/16" kit because I was ordering something else. You can get the metal parts locally I believe. Slaven's sent 14.5mm which I think is too tight. I had 15.7mm which worked. I have some 15.3mm which came with the Earl's fuel filter. This is what I would use in future. The hose you use determines what you need, so I would get a range of sizes to work with. Marshall's Industrial Hardware. The barb ends really enlarge the hose.
Home Depot will ship you the tool. Mr. B may have an opinion about clamp size.
Good Luck
