    Rossi breaks his leg :(

http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/160378/1/title_favourite_lorenzo_sad_at_rossi_injury.html Well, Too bad. It has been exciting watching he and Lorenzo go at it this season. So, barring injury, it will be Lorenzo this year. Hard to be sad for a racer that has such success.

The History of the " Kug " stickers

Dare I say, I have never had a flat while riding with you.
  6. OK, I admit it. I need a 350 four stroke mountain bike, preferably weighing in at 195lbs dry. 120 mile fuel range would be nice. Orange & White color scheme. Unfortunately the relationship with my significant allows only for one moto. Or, could be the issue is Not with the bike but the rider...mmm. Don't want to go there. You gents have a great day in the park! And post a few action shots for us loafers.

    Building a work bench...

Plug in the refrigerator...load. I prefer Edna Valley wine but it's your garage so make the call. Lowe's base cabinets x the width of the bench top minus 4 inches. 3/4 exterior A/C plywood cut to overhang the front a few inches for clamps. Rip a 4 to 6 inch backsplash the length of the bench top. Screws definitely over nails, and pre-drill before screwing back to top. Counter sink holes in bench top and screw to base cabinets. Did you remember to open the refrigerator?? Seal the cabinets and bench top with spar varnish, water based these days. Edit: Tack 3/4" wood trim to edge of plywood for nice finish look.

    So,,,,

What just a minute!! Someone has to buy a new bike. You got me all excited, now what do I do with all this energy?
  9. Captcham, One would think you picked a perfect weekend to do Big Bear. Nice work getting the Serrano campsite. My schedule is still up and down but would love to make the ride. The snow should be melted on the south side opening up the scenic trails. The Lollipop circuit is on my list of trails to investigate. So, are you planning to do Redonda Ridge again??
  10. Sticking to the Higher Elevations as it's pretty warm in some areas of the county. This destination is relatively of short duration, 2.5 - 3 hrs. We can talk about extending the day as the mood strikes us. Meeting/Parking is @ Packard's Coffee on 7th and Hwy 78.
  11. On second review, I think sitting around watching my add on Craig's List ( F150 ) will be quite enough excitement for me Thursday. Ride cancelled, Hope to see some of you at the First Responder Class Sunday.

    So,,,,

I drool on this bike. Do you own 1? I hate you now. I have a 2005 ZZR 1200 ZX that I enjoy but would love to upgrade. No, Don't own one, just my Sport Touring pal. Had an FJR for a few years, which isn't much different. You know, reglar light switch with suitcases. My advice is, Don't ride one! Surprisingly quick handling. Hijack OFF!

One hour = Ten comments We Do love to buy hardware, all of us. If you could just get us to help Pay for the new rig as fast. Bluefin, Do you ever plan on needing to Pick Up the bike? A good decision helping process is as follows: Have the sales guy Lay ( or is it lie ) the bike on the deck. Pick it up a couple of times.

    Tubliss and MotoZ

Doug, Watching this space for the system reliability. Well Yeah! That old Mt41 was practically a slick. I couldn't believe you took that up to Big Bear on the Pre-Run. One would hope you could notice the difference...with any new tire. 43s front and rear!

I don't record many tracks, but you can zoom in and out, east and west to get the idea. Click on the bubbles for details. The Blue Inn must have been a touch warm down in the washes.
  17. Pictures are easiest if you first post them on Smugmug or other photo hosting site. Once there, click the share button while having the photo selected. Open a new tab on your web browser and go to dualsport-sd and click the Insert Image tab two to the right of the happy face. Paste to the window and click OK. Having two browser tab open allows you to switch back and forth to share and paste more photos.
  18. Mimi, There is a certain I'Talion beauty to that Husky. What a thing to say about Swedish heritage. Now, that is creative! The last one.
  19. Beezzz, Where was your son Saturday?? Nice photo work. Looks like you did a bit of bike swapping.
  20. Sold Me, I guess I need to get up there and check the area out. Thanks for the Intro
  21. Well done gentlemen. Pretty large group but we made in happen. Thanks to Doug for bringing the second radio, which made the transitions smoother. Had a productive talk with Ranger Don of Anza Borrego State Park up on Jasper regarding opening the Upper link of Mason Valley TT @ Hwy 79. Will follow up on that as it Would be a nice link to the Dez from the Mountains. We saw a lot of country, more tomorrow. I really am trying to cut down on the number of photos. Josh does Oriflamme Mountain Troy Here comes Doug Where's Schwinn, I think he is down here I'll go look down the Phantom...Mmmm will we see Doug again? Wayne David and Troy My next Moto Hauler?? If I can just figure out how to load the bike without a trailer Schwinn, What was that you said about Large Trucks being a compensation for a small...was it ramps??
  22. Edit Thursday Noon: Dualsporters, Bring Your Radios !! 146.505 Saturday 0830-0900, Pine Valley Start ( Parking lot behind Major's Cafe @ Post Office ) Let's push for departing @ 0900!! Route A - Pine Valley, Pine Mtn, Chariot Canyon, Rodriquez Canyon to Mason Valley. 35 miles one way. Route B - Route A plus Mason Valley ( Desert Floor @ S-2) Blair Valley Grapevine Canyon, Jasper, Culp Valley and down to Borrego for gas. 75-80 miles one way. Plated Bikes - Intermediate Skill Level. Pavement, irregular two track, very rocky two track, Sand and a couple of water crossings. Step ups and step downs in a couple of spots. This is Not a starter ride and you Do need knobbies for the loose stuff. Bring Tools/Tube and snacks. If we Streeetch down to Borrego Springs, time will be short and we may Not stop at a restaurant to eat. All that said, Neither is this an Expert Ride and everyone is welcome, "No One gets left behind" Saturday has been chosen over Friday because of the 35-40 mile wind gusts Friday vs 15-20 mph Saturday. Downside is that temps will be 5-10 degrees Warmer Saturday. Saturday = 75f in the mountains and 95 degrees in Borrego Springs. another reason not to stay long in BS. Boy this is Long Winded My thought is to move along at a comfortable pace stopping Briefly to check out the views at the top. Once at Oriflamme Mountain ( not canyon ) we will have a discussion regarding route to Chariot Canyon. Mason Valley @ S-2 will be 35 miles and require a check of the clock as whether we turn around or press on to Little Culp Valley. End of Edit http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=110614374910091901637.000487802cc351fbd82ae&t=h&z=11 Was looking @ Friday, but Saturdays weather is better. A guy could stretch the ride to Grapevine/Culp, necessitating a drop to Borrego Sp for gas.
