Anza Borrego Bagstr Run
Bagstr replied to KLXBEN's topic in 1 to 3 Day Ride Write-Ups, Stories and Photos
Buttes Drop Air Ranch Ridge Dunes Dudes Inspiration Point - Love Five Palms Threw my tent in the Coyote in addition to my standard tube, tools, first aid, water for a first trial run. Result = absolutely zero flopping or movement. Added capacity over the Wolfman Enduro bag set will help on camping trips. No impact on riding position. -

Great that everyone made the trip. Fun riding with such a skilled group. Wind was reasonable until about 1:00PM, Hopefully the guys camping over to the river are not exposed to 40mph winds. -
Alyeska et al, Are the NOAA reports accurate...Little to no rain overnight? Hoping for wash clearing flows for Wednesday. Thanks for a Report

Rain Overnight in the Desert?
Bagstr replied to Bagstr's topic in Informal Local Rides & Who's Going Riding!
"What're doing Wednesday? " Riding out of Butte Pass, Borrego Badlands Loop. Two Track. -
Zina, You would be advised to hang on to that guy. A good machinist is a valuable commodity. Not that I would suggest a man is a commodity.
-
Where to purchase Shorai? Shorai lists a std case size 6lbs lighter than YTZ14 Battery Mart doesn't list

Thanks to DigDug for creating the inertia to get us on the move. DigDug, Beezzz, BelnapAir, Shift....& Bagstr from Pinyon Trailhead, Wednesday I will leave it to you to determine who are the Young and who are the Restless. As always, great to meet two new riders to our group.

The Young and the Restless
Bagstr replied to Bagstr's topic in 1 to 3 Day Ride Write-Ups, Stories and Photos
More.. Surprising how much enjoyment can be had riding On the Trail and letting the scale and stark beauty overwhelm. Not hard to ride at a speed that doesn't annoy the other park visitors, when you work just to stay upright. Restless -
Anza Borrego Weekday Ride
Bagstr replied to DigDug's topic in Informal Local Rides & Who's Going Riding!
Gents, Really not trying to be negative or a pain ( really ) I merely want folks to know what they are getting into. Some like to "air down", and believe me there Are angular rocks out in the Dez that will give you a Pinch flat in a mili-second. Folks don't usually get flats, no the area is not prone to such. Do I want to change your tire?? 75-100 miles, gas only if we decide to travel through Borrego Springs. My rig has only a Joe Hauler Rail for One Moto, so no help to anyone. We Typically have great rides and great folks drag themselves out to these remote locations for kicks. Squeeze, Ledges, Heart Attacks ( the correct direction ) Fairchild Teaser, Sand and Deeep Sand. Looking forward to seeing you all. -

I will see you at the Trail Head. Note: The area we will be riding involves Sand, Steps, Drops/Climbs and Deep Sand. Love to have everyone along, but please be comfortable in the SAND. No one gets left behind, all are welcome. Be able to change your flats. It will be close to 90d so bring plenty of Agua.
