Hi Ken, Camp 42 looks nice, with a bit of elevation. Tell us, How does the discussion on routes and Campsites go? Do you get much argument from the BMW? -

Chris, Hey, Big Thanks for the beer ( it really was free ) and chat-up. Love that Dakar Blue on the BIG bike! Ken, Good to see you ( and your $5 pizza ). Keep those little gray cells working on Utah. Dave PS - Love the extra lanes that have been added on the I-15.

Yep, That is the map used for the Continental Divide Trail. Over to ADVrider, BigDog shares Tracks he created as opposed to the Routes offered by Adv Bicycle Assoc. The CDT map is actually several maps from Canada to Mexico. Too many to carry on a bike. Which is funny considering they are from ABA. Good source for food and camp locations, although short on Fuel info.

Chris, Sure, love to. I will target about 4:30. Can you PM the access code. Dave

"Rain for the better part of the night and on and off today. Waiting for the rain to stop here in Steamboat Springs and then heading to camp at Stagecoach State park. Lots of mud today on the trail so it was slow going. Saw a couple beavers and some deer, heard the elk this morning but didn't see him." Captcham

The travelers are currently near Rifle, Colorado, headed toward the Wyoming border. The route looks as if they were blocked by snowpack at the Tin Cup Pass and had to re-route south to get to Crested Butte. I have their tracks, but the plan was to "wonder". Northern Colorado received 150-200% of normal snowpack this season. I wish them luck!

Don, HBD and thanks for all the knowledge shared.

"You can slightly trim the visor to help wind buffeting." Or remove the visor for the pavement rides. This results in a street-like flow and take the pressure off your neck.

"It won't be another Pavement-based Adventure Bike." The thing about the KTM Twin is, It Can Be as big offroad as you are.

The weight difference seems insignificant, so why give up the TORQUE. Race chassis + Street motor = . Unfortunately, still waiting for that one.
