Beezzz, Yes, I find it entertaining to park the wheels in the remote regions to soak up the isolation. This was one on those days to work on the Sand Technique in Slo Mo. I gain much confidence by spending a day working the turns as slow as possible, Balance Point etc. Once I have a certain left vs right confidence stockpiled, the normal speed stuff smooths out. The sand was not wet but fairly well packed,,,At lease most places. Again, I love it when you can laugh at the really deep challenges. Here are a "few" more photos of the Slo Loop Fault Wash Fault again nearing Short Wash Inspiration? Viewed from Font's Pt Five Palms turn, just south of 17 Palms. From Arroyo Salado Five Palms Cut Across Turn to right, as viewed headed south Give me your mud hills

Don't visit KTM Talk or ADVRider much,, When I do, all these horror stories regarding new hardware give me angst. Can only hope that in reality these issues are not widespread with these new KTM motors. Just did a 9400 mile service on the big bike and headed for another 9400. New oil in forks, rebuilt shock ( Thanks Suspenders ), Bleed brakes, and grips. Chain set and I'll be good. Edit: My point is more about the ambivalence caused by the horror stories, not that I'm a Luddite never to buy new hardware again. I'd love to loose 50-60lbs riding weight.

Incredible. A Great bike, with a pedigree. Anyone thinking they can just dump new gas and oil in a take it for a spin, would be mistaken. Good luck to the seller.

Just like all the big Race Teams, complete buildup. Should be good for your confidence out in the middle of the route.

Karl, Repeat after me, "Italian Leather". http://www.sidisport...hp?macro=2&id=2 You don't need to spend a bunch on a SLR unless you plan on making prints. You have the eye and sensibility, we can see your vision. Tired, who's tired. Great to see you out on the road. You have a nice set-up and a lady to share the experience. I ran into two guys other than our riding group there at Carlee's. Crossroads of the World. Dave -

Ride Postponed 'Till Another Day - 8:50PM Tuesday The committee I serve on decide Not to make important decisions until after the 2012 election. Please don't Pepper Spray Me! http://maps.google.c....39516,0.727158 Click "Tree Parking, Easy Access" Tuesday looks great, weather wise. Plan to direct north up Arroyo Diablo to Sandstone Canyon, Hapaha Flats, Pinyon Canyon to bottom of the Drop. Reverse direction and re-wind south. Intermediate Skills rating, Un-relenting slow sand turns, a couple of drops and climbs. Bring tools, tubes, water and snacks. No food or fuel on route. 75 plus miles. This ride is totally inside the Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Which means: Park on clear non-vegetated ground on or immediately adjacent to roadway, Plates, mirrors And DOT Treads. The Park Staff will check you out to see your equipment is totally street legal. Park not race-course, etc, etc. My number is in Members Area.

That's the problem with those Black Bikes, everything blends into one big Black! Of course, you were holding mine while I tried to kickstart my bike in Borrego a few weeks ago...
