  1. watching some of the viddies posted on YT I saw your machine on top of one hill parked without you.
  2. This guy has a bunch of video up. It's cool to see the area. I'm jaded so I won't comment too much. Put it this way I rode all that stuff with zero thoughts. it's all smooth and non technical But heck enjoy his views the trail really is super nice and windy Soboba Trail Ride 2023 #9 - YouTube
  3. Me second in line waiting for 3 guys who are AFU on the hill to the left, by this time I was happy to have passed by many riders, most were stopped a few were trail passes. After this stop I did not see too many people just a few here and there. Most of the stoppages were 100% due to lack of basic skills ( Please go to ride schools!!) Not one of the hills up to this point had technical obstacles , these trails are 99% un-rocky, yes some were slick up and down, just needed to be in good position and smooth throttle. So many riders just spinning their wheels with weight in wrong position. just one quick tip your clutch is wet , slip it on accel and decel , RPM can be up in the torque range just modulate the clutch to feed power to the ground----smooth groove it. Slip clutch, change oil often no oil threads......buuuut since I've been using 80W Redline.....my entire drive train feels smoother. They have some foo foo additives that are brilliant.
  4. Zero for me.....no viddy no fotos. I have been hunting around for some hard line viddies and fotos. there are already a few guys posting good view (but sorry boring slow) GoPro video from the ORN main trail, which was a beautiful chocolate trail. I want some BLU line and BD and DBD (Black Diamond/Double Black Diamond) stuff. Thx for asking.
  5. BTW I kept my eye out for the #350 bLU cRU bike but never spotted you. Sometimes/mostly I ride in my head and have that freakin Goggins on my shoulder cursing my slack, so I keep pushing. PS choose your own poison, but for years I have used Evans sport, non-aqueous coolant for years now. low pressure, super high boil point, Samco hoses, CNC pump impeller for a bullet proof cooling system. for an addition a cooling fan kit can help as well (I never use one).
  6. Brilliant day accomplished what I set out to do. Challenge the course and myself. Old guy hard trails. Did all the BD and DBD trails. I was with a group at the start but my brain really needs to just go so I just went. There were some good sporting sections for sure. Traction was overall super good. One short DBD section had me working solo for a while and the only other real "stuck" was a deep rut to the left coming out of a flowing water stream bed ride down the rocky stream (which was super cool). I had to pull my bike outta that one , no real issue, but I did save 2 guys coming up behind me directing them to a better line out and up! I was a little careful at first and even a bit scared on the wet and muddy rocks, but as usual my tire choice (Michelin FIM Enduro Mediums) is best for all conditions and the older worn mousses helped as well. My tune setting (all my enduro performance off the shelf mods) on the GP Motorcycles Husqvarna TE300i are optimum as are my mixed suspension settings from top tier locals Suspension 101 (Shock full boat) and Crow Performance Suspension (Forks full boat)

    Seat Customizer Needed

Try Thrill Seekers in El Cajon, also add National City Motorcycle, they have an upholstery shop they use for all their seat work. all my current bikes have been done by them. Probably more ability to deal with a special/custom set up I have had dealings with both, and both are top tier customer service A1 places. RN

    trail ride Tecate BC Mex

Also note this was until battery died on relatively novice level stuff. ride got into AA stuff later on , but was not a hard enduro loop, just a tough stuff loop. I recognized many spots from years of trail riding and Tecate enduros as well as some of the local HS events down there.
  9. Tractor Racing Club , Rancho Santa Veronica School Benefit Ride 18 FEB. I don't edit video so here is the start of the trail ride, for your enjoyment. We rode outbound on part of the final section of the Tecate Enduro.

Passport or SENTRI if you want zero hassles , all original paperwork for entry to Mexico (original Registration) , this was a benefit trail ride one of many. The Tractor Racing Club is putting a a private rancho race just southeast of Tijuana in an entirely new to offroad location soon , I think they said end of April
  11. I'm close to reliving those glory days , but not in the AMA centric sense. Project Husaberg FC501 MXGP World Champ bike still in work. no blu hair or pimp and ho parties anymore though. no Crusty Demons of Dirt anymore.

in my moto world more in line with what these guys use. For heavier long distance riding ADV type stuff. CE rated padding in all the right places. For example my Fly racing chest protector with upper arm flaps is the CE rated one.

Invest in training classes from professional riders to help prevent/mitigate crashing in the first place. This is the best gear in your moto package you can have. We are fortunate to have great local resources in this regard. I will not comment on what gear to wear because I subscribe to the minimalist logic of unrestricted movement. Light weight and light colors. I will say even all geared (and looking bulky) up Rally guys still have their gear allowances for quick unrestricted movement. Find good quality stuff that allows movement along with your own level of comfort/required protection. Light weight really is best for control and movement.

    1997 KTM300EXC (overlap project)

I was hoping the fuel valve seals would still be good, with 2 strokes a lot of times seals stay well due to the oil content in the mix...but nooooo she leaked like a sieve, I even pulled it apart and treated the orings and face seal with silicone spray and grease ... still leaked so.... All Balls universal KTM petcock rebuild kit on the way. Filled rear brake reservoir and bled feeder line - rear brake is solid!! After I get this going, I will pull the F and R discs off to blast them and get the corrosion off. New pads as well. Front needs a full bleed it is at zero pressure. PS Cleaned up chain (RK O/Xring) and installed, needed a link cut so did that, still need to adjust axle position (back). Installed A new Shinko 140/80 MX216 Rear with Michelin Mousse pieces and a Used good/fair Michelin Enduro Med 90/90 with Nitromousse complete and stuffed with a Michelin mousse piece. I usually dont mix but it's what I had in the bin. Used water-based tire soap/grease for this installation.

  22. thanks for that...and it was old news to boot. nothing like doing business with the regime. Kind of like if Nazi Germany was still around and doing business. Its all good if it's cheap and not in my backyard/house/country....there is this however- company is known as CFMOTO-KTMR2R. That is the joint venture corp..I don't think this is a core EU or Swiss Pierer Mobility group corp. ( all the corps under the blanket in EU region) It's a separate biz entity in China, not to say as they do with the India manufacturing we will not see these products here..... good for discussion. Using/buying into a known brand name is a great in. Value added as with the Husqvarna trademark. I don't think the dealers will be too happy to see a KTM450SX for sale for 5k.......mailorder....on Amazon etc..... KTM AG is presently owned by Pierer Mobility AG,[34] which owns about 98.2% of KTM shares. Pierer Mobility AG is majority owned by Pierer Industrie AG (73.32%).[35] Subsidiaries[edit] As of 2020, KTM AG has the following subsidiaries:[36] KTM Racing AG (Switzerland, 100%) KTM Sportmotorcycle GmbH (100%, distribution of motorcycles and parts) KTM Sportcar GmbH (100%, production and distribution of the KTM X-Bow) KTM Immobilien GmbH (99%, owner of all property and buildings of the KTM Group) Husqvarna Motorcycles GmbH (100%, distribution of motorcycles and parts) GASGAS Motorcycles GmbH (Spain, 60%)[37] WP Suspension GmbH (100%, production of motorcycle suspension components) W Verwaltungs AG (100%) never as simple as it appears in these huge biz deals.
