  1. Truth is the course is great, we did it a number of years back after a good rain week and it was epic. The problem is the number of riders, 300 is a very low estimate,,,more like DD said @700!!!! I would estimate 85% were riding at beginner level and folks were just really stuck on the most pedestrian hills and I think the downhills were worse with large numbers bulldogging bikes down hills that my 14 year old daughter would laugh at on her TTR125. For example with those familiar with elevation MX track, that little steep drop off at the back of the track, would cause a mass bottleneck. Again I am a backer of all things moto, so go do it at least once, but be a little aggressive (but not unruly) and get around folks. Or...... just show up and ride the L2. RN

would love one way trails, but what Randy said. Also bear in mind that one's idea of fast is another's slow and relaxed. And this goes for trail toughness as well. Just be careful out there and enjoy the ride. Private property, one way is possible, public property forget it. my 2cents

    Corral Canyon 01/12/10

We worked a little on the uphill (it's 1 mile in) and it looks like some strong guys could move 2 rocks near the top and the line up will be easier but that area is gonna need some help. There are some water crossings that will need stabilized. Because there's gonna be carnage we need to name y not Let the rides move the rocks??? carnage can be good for exclusivity.......

    Day in Mcain valley

I was not meaning to flame/ disparage(SP?) or anything, the DR650 is great DS machine, you guys know me I love all bikes/brands big and small. Keepin it real, and tryin to "enlighten" (that's a reach for me). These machines all have their place, and rider skill/type of riding to bike type is always a matter of choice, all these machines really are tools for our pleasure anyway, except when in commuter mode. see ya all on the trail, enjoy the ride (no matter what your steed is) We are all on the same page, sometimes the words dont always convey the right meaning or feeling. lets get some more rain on our plain!!!! I want to H Cam some adventures, but will wait for dust free lens conditions!!

    Day in Mcain valley

FYI (as you all probably know), a well set up big Kato (525 for example) is on another planet compared to the DR650. The Kato is a full on competition enduro machine (a world championship winning bike). I've ridden a well set up 5-2-5 in the tightest rockiest of stuff it will surprise even expert level riders for its ability to be nimble and plush at the same time without needing much gear changing due to its more than ample power. Enjoy the ride!! R

Eddies crew was in the same lot as our crew we were right there , yes BS, I had my oatmeal and raisins fuel for the ride at the restaurant!! rode some wicked vert rocks and some super bumpy stuff as well as flowing stuff. Mine was the only husky I saw up there,,,,and still bummed about the dust content!! glad you all had fun.RN

  24. Randy see above Pasta and DD have the link. under the yellow tape was the actual West HS course we rode earlier in the year it was a great course. the other stuff is the Ricky D and others off road loop, this is mostly all the south property stuff. Rode when moist at the western HS it was epic and we just railed those tracks and berms.
