    It's a Gas! (Gas)

take any new model 450 and add suspension tires and all the comp rally stuff (anti smash guards, lights, water tank, big fuel tank, rally timing, fairing, exhaust, seat etc etc etc ) ,,,,,,,,you will be pushing into the teens and beyond easily
  6. This was the best course under the best conditions I think I have ever ridden. Very challenging but not stupid hard It was a brilliant event well prepped, organized and it came off very well, with immediate results, great infield enduro cross spectator section. The chase riders even did course maintenance during the race, ie threw up more ribbon in missed turn zones, and did 40 ft reroute around an endless mud deep stream bed as the race went on. alot of it was under tree canopy, lots of the usual steep rocky up and downs, wet running stream beds, some sandy stuff, BLACK Loamy dirt!! green grass meadows and usual reddish tan baseball rocky stuff we have around here but ZERO(99% no dust) dust. There were 2 pit lanes seperated by course sections,,,well I can go on and on. It was 9.9 of 10 for sure. There were course monitors and checks throughout the course but no stop or slow down checks, man just a perfect set up for 10 mile loop trail ride/race. Thank you Tractor Racing!!! You guy rock!! And they even issued nice (3 each), 3 digit one piece Monster energy number stickers at sign up. @80% fresh single track!! RN

this is the coolest of the cool (sorry not DS) Nambotin replica 300, E3 bike http://www.tmxnews.co.uk/content_database/...ica_ec300/index
  8. let the fun begin!! go as fast as you want!!, no oncoming traffic!!, tight single track (hopefully),, fight for positions, this aint no trial ride, drop the green,,,take the checkers all this in an epic location under epic moist conditions!!!
  9. Some of you may recognize some of these guys (the names are mostly misspelled in the story). Its a good lesson on why to have a sat phone when way out in the boonies on an adventure. I know most of these guys, and all are former pros and off road experts as well as long mile Baja riders. They were smart enough to know when to eat their pride and call for help. All are safe, and story ends as just another Baja Adventure for the books. http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2010/ja...pairs-continue/

    Corral Canyon 01/12/10

can this new trail be burned in without the use of cutting tools? manzanita is hard but cracks really (brittle) easy. Plus a few good runs through the trail course will clear brush quickly, no? Have not been to corral in long time, maybe its time again.
  11. never posted the Brux Rider crew results, Race 1 Cyril 3rd 30 international sportsmen, Massimo 1st 40 international sportsmen, Tim 1st 60 Int sptsmn, afternoon race Tommy 1st 30B, Robert 3rd 40B
  12. this Sunday, co-sponsored by local shop C&D Cycle. Organizer says course is ready to rock and did divert some trails to avoid bottle necks. this is a mini Tecate HS. Join the fun on the Rancho Santa Veronica single track,,, short course @ 10 mile loops.
  13. I am still completly wound up!! On how good it is right now,,,, in a month or 2 back to dust!!!

  15. same place, here, later that same day @1200hours (23JAN10), maybe some of the same trails(??) posted it anyway..see pm sent is this a hijack??(i hope not) note to DD, the inclusion of the very green '94 KDX200 (his KTM450 is in full clean up mode) should make it OK. Link to the Husky site, enjoy the ride it was fun and intense at times. http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7825
  16. what no wheelies!!!! just kidding, super nice ride (the bike and the trip) scenery with the snow is very nice.
  17. was not like the last year snow riding we did (frozen and very slick),,,,this was unfrozen dirt under snow and traction was crazy good even on the virgin snow trails. by today (sun) most snow was off the trails.
  18. conditions are just insanely good, 2 days in a row, less white stuff today but full on rock and roll.
  19. taking a little time to even set the stock suspenders (if yours is OEM) is key to using less energy, being more comfortable, having better handling,,,and thus riding faster with less stress. Sag set first then play the comp and reb adjusters
  20. you should have no issues with Joe D doing a fix er up job, he is that kind of biz owner. Ps the difference before and after suspension dialing in on the Husky is night and day. It really is one machine that really really needs a personal dialing in, once done the things just rock.
  21. great post PS the injured rider Luca Manca is recovering well so far.
  22. suspension (personal redo or set up) first all other mods, secondary. Actually mind and body first. then get the suspension dialed in. good write up
