  1. birds eye view of we rode, loop 1 vid and loop 2 vid. yes some of that stuff is flat out ugly. http://exposureroom.com/members/RaceVisionsl/ddae31e7360e4825ab08c0e679946287/
  2. The trails that weave around the small zone between the 4 corners, upper and lower campsite are really great (I forgot). But you guys all knew that. I have not been up there for a while and wanted some (quiet)personal suspension tuning time to get her(Ms.TXC450) more dialed in to deal with embedded rock and softball size loose rocks (HSCD)settings. Lots of running water(still)mud and tons of slippery rocks (with lots of jeep slop on them) helped me achieve close to nirvana or at least getting in that direction further without too many changes to my LT Racing suspended machine (zoke/sachs). Followed 3 riders (a couple minutes back) after they headed down Kernan to allow a clear trail. Anyone here? Looked like a plated Kato up front with at least one Honda (prob 2) trailing. Caught up about 1/2 way down and spun around and attacked back up (counting on that there were no other folks coming down)(all good was clear all the way to the parking lot). Lots of Jeep club drivers(not surprised), and a big amount of quad riders(surpised). Only saw one dad and his little one on the trail on bikes. I could spend all day right in that zone, especially with the current moist conditions, and just pick all the various lines and directions through the trails and boulder sections to mix it up and practice. 4. WSBK again (09 season) Here sharing Assen, Holland with the SDAR crew, photo album from the WSBK 2009 season race. Team riders Max Neukirchner, Yukio Kagayama SBK and STK1000 Claudio Corti. Yukio rode solid but outside the podium and Max had a weird in the main park ess/chicane get off but remounted to finish. Claudio was his usual wild child self, and put on his show rider style and rode well. For Moto race fans keep an eye on Claudio Corti (he's in Moto2 now)he's very exciting to watch, he rides like his hero Schwantz, with lots of bike movement. http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e338/robertaccio/Assen09/
  5. Love WSBK because of the street bike connection!! Sharing our album from our time with the Suzuki WSBK time at the US round at Miller Motorsports Park, Utah in 2009. http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e338/robertaccio/MillerMotorsportsPark31MAY09/ Tough weekend, Yukio Kagayama was up to speed but busted himself in a bone breaking crash but soldiered on with fractures in his lower leg. Fonsi Nieto was standing in for the badly injured Max Neukirchner and rode well but not up to podium speed.
  6. Oh man they forgot mention the SDAR riders that did the event!!! Those Pro team guys get all the glory!!
  7. Husky fan side note and on the fence new Husky TE model DS customers, the bike that Dave Kamo finished 6th OA on was an OEM stock TE511 (DS legal) magazine test unit, that had Dave's suspension added to it. Dave made this public on enduro360.com His TXC511 race prepped bike appears to have had a fuel pump issue on sat afternoon.

    Orange Coolaid

super nice machine, get it set up properly (very important on PDS KTMs)and remember before trashing those tires, world enduro racers use Metz/Mich/Pir enduro comp tires to regularly post super fast special test racing times in competition. Try 13F 12R after getting all your chassis settings correct (or lower press), my norm is 12F 10R UHD tubes with slime. The 10psi may be too squirrelly on the pavement. Also balance your wheels. Related to what Bill said, it is reported that Everts won a at least a few of his MXGP championships on Pirelli Scorp FIM Pro Enduro comp (DOT) front tires (my fave and what's on my TXC450) and if the tires will be pitched, can I have dibs on them, thanks R

Body found of missing student in Spain

that is a real shame. please keep passing the word to everyone dont walk alone especially at night, anywhere (especially girls). And don't split from your group alone no matter what. This is a sad end.
  11. Beau's video glad the temps were reasonable, I was hurtin in that last canyon where I saw Brad and Josh. That was a good work out I am on serious protein shakes to feed those broken muscles!! Great job to all!
  12. Never sweat prelims (maybe a little), and if you think there is an issue call the ama district stewart, in 09 I did the 100s MC d37 H&H final and finished (last loop was brutal) but I was not even shown on the board I really thought I may have missed a check or some how screwed up but after discussing with a 100s member there was no way I missed any checks, they reviewed and found me and all my check marks. It's still very early. Give them time to get it dialed in. But also dont be afraid to call the AMA rep if you do have issues after the results come in. http://www.district37ama.org/forums/showthread.php?t=44155 not to sound silly but I hope all remembered to fill out the back of the fender card before attaching it to the fender. In other races i've done it is handed to you with your number on it.
  13. Prelim results, no wonder I never saw anyone after my canyon "rest" stop, I was almost the last 2 Loop rider to finish!!ha http://www.district37ama.org/forums/att ... 1299481791
  14. Dirt Bike Mag has very informative trail ride update article in the Feb issue. Its a how to unleash the beast kind of thing, to make it a much more offroad competent machine.
  15. yep I saw(caught up with) the younger (ha ha Brad) guy towards the upper end of another ugly rock infested canyon (we really kicked butt getting up that point). we did the thumbs up to each other and he continued on. Once in the nice cool shade of that spot, I stayed there for a awhile to regroup, I was dizzy and really worked, Then Josh came up and immediatly after he left, I was remotivated, I jumped back on my bike and promptly fell over dizzy, I sat my tank arse back down and drank more water and 1/2 powerbar. After another 15-20 mins I finally got past the mental and physical crap and pushed hard to the finish (I knew we were fairly close 10-15mi at that point. For all us that finished, wherever, its a great accomplishment and a real adventure, I think there will be alot of DNFs, the first canyon was littered with stopped guys and guys that were bailing out to the side. Brad and Josh you guys rock great job fellas!! The difference between us ammies and the Pros is just ridiculous.

  17. He was very fast, but he is lucky to be alive after his later in the 08 season career ending injuries (head injury), he sorrowfully paid for that total on the gas attitude. Those young pro dez guys are crazy fast, I just always hope they do the more tactical/logical slowdown to go faster and finish logic so as to not get hurt. Its so hard to tell racers that (especially the young not so long in the race game saddle guys). Like you said racing is exciting and fun and a crazy job for the top guys, I always pray for super tough racing with tight competition, but tempered with everyone finishing or if not finishing its only a mechanical issue DNF. Its all great unless someone is injured. Safety first, speed second, finish third. For me #2 doesn't play out...so its just safety first and finish!! And enjoy the ride with everyone going the same direction on a marked couse with checkpoints and safety personel throughout!

    Technical Social Pressure

wow that was a good one!!, agree with 99%,,, but not all by choice, some regulated by my budget and some by my domestic partner (wife's idea of the moto budget). keep the peace ride simple (read: low budget DS). Fun post!
  19. Kendall especially when the whoops are deep and ugly for miles, that guy is super fit and scary fast.
  20. JJ, I also like the other Big Dave* on the Purvines Honda its a great change, and good for the H&H series as a whole, he all ready has found great "privateer" success with a P1 and a P2 in the first 2 rounds. This weekend should be a good pro race, with KTMs Caselli, JCR's Norman,Purvines Big Dave, Huskys Davey K and Nick B, Kaws Dez and Jake Arg. as well as the D38 Beta fast guys You know Im a Husky fan, but I really want Dez to get a win, I am also a big fan of vets (old guys) and Destry is in that catagory! My illogical fan hope Dez,Burson,Kamo (a real longshot) by the way Mr.honda fan (and former "old" model Husky rider), word from at least one of the above pros is that Kendall is the fastest guy out there and is flat out on the gas fearless especially in ugly fast stuff, like very deep cross grain that can scare even the best dez/XC racers into backing off a little. This weekend is going to be a good one!!(as are all the H&Hs) Big Dave*=Knighter
