  1. Pine valley road staging. If you head out Bear valley rd end up turning left on Morena Stokes to Buchmann springs. Turn right to Cammeron truck trail. Then left all the way through to La Posta then left again. Take it across the 8 and up to Fred. Then left and take it to the fork on the rightand all the way through to Sunrise. Turn right and head out past Pine creek to Deer park rd then left and back down pine creek to staging. About 62 miles. Did you say there were locked gates? Pollo

OK then, you must be talking about the North side of Table mountain area in Jacumba. That would be the only other area to the desert and I havent explored it yet.. I do know that from davies you can split off to the right. How far I don't know, but I have riden to pinto wash from going through Davies. Pollo

Jacumba, heading out towards Eliot mine and Valley of the Moon. Then down into Pinto Canyon, into Davies valley and Pinto wash. Sounds pretty cool Pollo

    Otay November 2

Just read this Otay story. Just wanted to mention, that's not an easy hill to climb. You don't need to be a beginner to go down with all the rock and silt. 9 out of 10 aint bad for me. Dropped the bar once. There's actually 2 ways up on that side and the other ones worse. Your reward is the view of the lake at the top. And for those that make it all the way over try coming back up. There is one section on the lake side thats more difficult than all. I came up once that way and have since called it conquered. Maybe agin some other time. Pollo
  5. Have a good one Bill. I'll be there Sat. Ran over a nail there 2 weeks ago on the 450 rear. Can you believe that. Crazy! I made it back just in time. I thought the rear felt a little squishy. It was flat when I got back. Got a rim ding because of it. Pollo
  6. Let's go to Jawbone Hamma. Plenty of steepies there. I won't ride the General, but I'm sure you will probably wheelie your 150 up the entire face. hehe!!! I'll take pictures!

    Otay Mountain

Nice ride up the silty hill. I parked under the tree there last week and rode it a few times on my 450. I could hear the heavy machinery behind you up on the hill like last week. You do know that you can ride from where you took those lake pics over the top to the Alta Rd. and the 905 right? Hope you had a good one. I rode Bear valley Rd today. I'm giving the 650 a little rest these last 2 weeks. Good to hear the Possitive TE news. Pollo

    New CRF450R

I too am curious as to how well the 09 450R handles and performs. My 07, the tried and true version held on to the top of the shootouts as well as the 08. So much was done to the 09. Its a completely different bike. Wondering why they threw it all away when it was so good. I hope they had good reasons with their testing. And I'll know soon enough whether I will appreciate my 07 even more. Pollo

    Otay Mt

I've been told not to park there on or near Thousand trails if you are planning to stage there. The Gun club stage off of Maron valley rd is also closed unless you have special permision. They can't stop the Dual Sport though. Pollo

    Jawbone Canyon

You have explained it well Erick. Jawbones been a favorite since the 70s. For steep downhills I leave it in gear, bike running, on and off rear tire skids and use the front brakes where you can without washing it out. Locking up the rear is not the way to do it. You will have more control letting the rear spin a little and tapping the brake to slow it down. There are more trails though besides knarly hills. In fact Dove springs connects and is a scaled down version that a lot of family and kids go too.

    Jawbone Canyon

Enlarge the pic and you see me above the dust cloud about 3/4 up the hill. Good pics Erick. You know what I mean. You have to go there to get the real feeling of the place. There are hills I won't climb there. The ones you just see extended bikes with paddles climbing. Jawbone is a thrill and will get you a little nervous and with butterflies. I love it. It's also the best place to learn your downhills. It's one thing to climb a steepie wide open and then another to creep back over the top and come down without getting to much downhill speed and bailing. You will learn your brakes and gears like never before and how hard to use them. Pollo

    Jawbone Canyon

Here's a picture of me at jawbone taken on a disposable camera. You gotta hit this one wide open. I'm on mt 05 CRF450 here. It's hard to even walk up this hill because of the deep sandy loam at the bottom. Pollo
  13. My Husaberg 650 came stock at 60 HP. The same as a stock CR500. . I installed an Akrapovic slip on and it probably puts out 62 or 63 im thinking. The wheel comes up easily in 3rd. Just roll on the throttle. 07 was the last ones with plates in CA. There are some out there, just have to look. Mines 05.
  14. Yes the Husaberg is plated Jaynen. Also , Didn't get what trail got rerouted. How is Bronco different from 4 years ago? Anyone know? I rode up the South/east side and down the North/west. Been down the South/east also. Been up the connector to where it splits. It turns left there and continues? It was here that me and Jim had a look and I got stung twice in the neck. We didn't go up it at that time.
  15. Let me rephrase on the Honda 650L. Dry weight, It weighs around 320 I believe and the 650R around 280. Correct me if you will. My Husaberg FE650e weighs 239 pounds. (Dry weight) .
