    Sleeping bag or blanket?

Found a sale on a synthetic 20 degree bag. Not too familiar with these or how small they pack down (you'd have to buy a compression sack) but looks like a good sale, only $87 and free shipping if you use promo code SPRING30 when checking out. https://www.marmot.com/equipment/mens-ollan-20-sleeping-bag---long/AFS_195115053505.html

    Sleeping bag or blanket?

The thought of you roosting a wheelie up a steep hill on that bike with a parallel twin 650 motor fills my heart with joy and my pants with *@#& haha. I beg you to start this process as soon as possible.
  4. Yup, I handed the official my FMM form (I prefilled and printed the online form) and passport card. He did not delay in stamping it, took 20 seconds.

    Sleeping bag or blanket?

40mph event took place somewhere on Butte Valley Rd just past this beautiful kaleidoscope mountain. Had just taken Coyote Canyon from Baker ranch (before it burned down), past the Geologist cabin. Agree with bringing the emergency blanket. I usually bring one in case I'm caught in unexpectedly low temps and it lets you push a little closer to the edge with bringing a lighter/warmer bag to save weight/space.

    Sleeping bag or blanket?

I believe your bike has had grade 8 peg bolts since 2008 when I sheared the RHS peg bolts off in the middle of Death Valley. Didn't want to go home early so I just rode the next 2 days with one peg and used the right side passenger peg. Really would have sucked if I wasn't too busy having a great time. Good luck with the shifter haha. I was never able to confirm whether the shift shaft could be replaced without a full rebuild BTW. It seems like you can pull it out from the RHS but I never found anyone online who explicitly said they did it, and just kept kicking the can down the road. Back on topic, I agree with shutterrev about REI being a good value option with fantastic support. I still have the REI mummy bag that your bike lugged around since 2007. They also have blanket/quilt options that I'm just now starting to get into. If you're a side-sleeper or thrash around in your sleep a quilt is probably better unless you tend to sleep really cold. If you do start buying things at REI I recommend signing up to their membership program. Also, if you can wait, their big yearly sale starts in May I believe. Buen suerte!
  7. I just crossed and returned at Otay today using my passport card. No hay problema, either direction.

    Mondo Enduro

You stumped me pretty good there. I've never done that conversion (don't even know what those formats are).

    Mondo Enduro

Ride more trails than Jeeps and shift into 6th on the streets. 🤠 I was able to find Terra Circa as well. No luck with Mondo Sahara, I have failed.

    Mondo Enduro

Not really finding Terra Circa or Mondo Sahara but I'll keep looking. In my opinion a dr350 only needs a desert tank, wide pegs, and some knobbie tires.

    Mondo Enduro

I'll see if I can find Terra Circa and download that one for you as well. I bought and sold bikes a lot in the past, just enjoyed trying different bikes. Had two more dr350's and wish I still had both.

    Mondo Enduro

Bought this one for $450. It was cheap because it didn't run but I took it home and cleaned the carb and was riding it 30 minutes later. Here it is after I sold it to a buddy. I'm digging mud out of the gap between tire/swingarm because the desert silt mud turned to concrete and locked the rear wheel from turning.

    Mondo Enduro

I had Terra Circa but not Mondo Sahara. Beer is great but not necessary, happy to pass it along. I can't show anyone "how it's done", best I can do is to make people say "well I guess that's one way to do it". 😀 The only pictures of me riding it have been posted around here before. Bike stalled in the mud pit cause I went in with the throttle off like a lilly.

    Mondo Enduro

I no longer have it but I bought a copy on ebay many years ago, you might have luck there. If you're familiar with the whole torrent thing I can send you a link to download it, or can give you copy of the file if we ever bump into each other. I just downloaded it to remind myself why the DR350 is one of the best motorcycles ever produced.
  15. Been wanting to see this part of the county and this ride sounds like exactly what I need. Would love to join if you think it would be in the fun box for me/my bike.
  16. You boys must have been in the zone to drag 50 pounds of Mosko and not notice. Looks like an awesome time! I've got the bug I need to go back soon.

    Long and Hard

Sorry I missed, hope it was fun. I kept it nice and safe and did 30 miles of McCain single track and boulder hoppin (AKA 350thumper warmup)

    Long and Hard

We don't deserve you 👑 I'm doing my best to read between the lines and determine if you are recovering from injury and this is a... 1. 350thumper Beginner ride (AKA "I thought I was intermediate!") = Up to 60% Zubb 3 2. 350thumper Intermediate ride (AKA "The Reality Check") = Zubb 3 MINIMUM, up to 30% Zubb Death 3. A legitimate 350thumper "Long and Hard" ride (AKA "No Noobs and No Lube" AKA "Fill out yer wills and take yer pills") = INSTANT ZUBB DEATH FOR ALL WHO PUSH THE STARTER BUTTON

    Long and Hard

Are you going to "tackle" Heart Attack Hill by going downhill? If I tried to ride my DR up that I'd probably end up in a river.

    Better late than never!

Welcome to the DR350 fan club! (I'll give you $2.50 more than KTMrad will if you're gonna sell it)

    Anza Borrego Route

KTM 200 XC-W. Not low but can go slow if you want. I think 350thumper would approve of one of these though (my 1st bike)

    Anza Borrego Route

Careful in Blair Valley Campground, the parking area can be very slippery and there could be squirrels running around! Been out of town the last few weekends and will be the next couple as well otherwise I'dve joined some of these rides. 😔 (although I admit I was a bit relieved to be outta town during your gnarly enduro ride because I may have been dumb enough to try and join on my 200)
  24. That suuuuuuuuucks moto_rph! Glad you're in good spirits (or at least have good medicine 😁) Hope you heal up fully and quickly!
  25. I'm praying there will be more pictures and a ride report in the next week or so?
