  1. Badfish it was nice meeting you. By the way I saw some nasty skid marks on the way out of there, were those yours right past grumpy's?

I don't want to admit it but they most likely were , a new running board and some elbow grease on the hood scratches and the 'burban will be good as new again  . Man, you guys rode the crap out of that place; I wish I had been feeling better and had a little more confidence in the range of the stock YZ or I would have been in some of those pictures. It was nice to get away for a few days and meet other SDAR riders. (and Jeff I hope I didn't offend you with my 'farenheit 9-11' comments, a few too many beers for me were involved in that discussion (outburst, more appropriately)). Anyway, thanks to all for a nice weekend, I hope to ride with you this desert season.

  2. I think you'll find in your reasearch that it is illegal to transfer that firearm in California (I believe you are referring to a Daewoo DR-200, more similar in operation to an AK-47 but fires a .223 round) with or without that silly "bullet button".

  3. Anyone fired the newerish .357 rd in a semi auto?

Are you refering to the .357 sig or the .327 Federal? The .357 sig feels like a hot 9 mm, I wouldn't call it a replacement for the magnum. The new Federal round is suposed to perform pretty well but I haven't shot it personally. (oops, my bad you said "semi-auto" of which the .327 Federal does not apply).

  4. Oh sure, I suggest at the dash we should do another ride out of your house and you pick a weekend that I am out of town.

My company is flying all management to Vegas for fun, staying at the Venetian and putting fun money in our pockets, they are paying for everything, flight, room, meals even our significant others. The spouses get spending money also.

I will catch ya on the next one.

I didn't know we had any AIG employees on this site!

  5. What the heck, I'll play too. I'm a civil engineer currently working for the City of Coronado, been there about 7 years. Prior to that I worked in private industry doing design of highways and storm water conveyance systems (i.e. channels, pipes, even participated in the design a dam in SB county). Like crawdaddy, I wasn't allowed to ride motorcycles when I was a kid due to the fact that a motorcyclist ended up a hood ornament on my mom's car (his fault though, he ran a red light). I went to college at Cal Poly SLO and met a few friends that rode dirt bikes up there and the rest is history. Bought an XR600 that I am still riding today but next year I'm looking to by something new; and light and electric start! I don't ride as much as I'd like to since the wife and kids (2 daughters) haven't really taken an interest in it but I usually get out once a month. I will be taking the family to superstition for new year's.

  6. Thanks for the shout out guys. I still check in on a regular basis but with daughters in sports and a wife that doesn't ride I haven't been able to hook up on any SDAR rides lately. I will make some this season though that is my promise to myself. Thanks again for the B-day wishes.

  7. Thanks Dig Doug for the tip on where to get the Ogio Flight Vest. This morning I went to North County House of Motorcycles and bought the second to the last one on the rack.....ask Erik for your SDAR discount price of $53.95.....what a deal... and a nice addition to my riding gear collection.
