I recently upgraded my chest protector and want to give this to someone in need. It does have many 'git off' wounds and the right bicep guard needs to be sown back on, but otherwise is fine. This is for a +200 lb male. PM me if interested or know someone who could use it. Gone.

Gun Enthusiasts, Take Aim .......Feb. 1st is too late.

This is why I'm selling most of my firearms. Kalifornia is not a gun friendly place. -

Hey Matt glad you guys had a good time! I heard from Becky last night about your brother but it sounds like he's OK. Post up some pic if you have 'em. -
If you get the RV roadside service they will tow your trailer, motorhome etc. It's about $49 extra on top of the "Plus" membership but I had my trailer and tow rig towed from In-Ko-Pah to El Cajon a few years back for no money out of pocket.

Nice weekend out at Johnson Valley
Badfish2 replied to Czechsix's topic in 1 to 3 Day Ride Write-Ups, Stories and Photos
Johnson Valley is a fun place to ride. It's good you got out there, who knows how much longer it will remain open since the military is interested in the land. -
After you win the council seat take aim at that windbag Mark Lewis and get him out of the mayor's role.

RIDE CANCELED 3rd Annual Troy Meadows trip
Badfish2 replied to dirt dame's topic in Informal Local Rides & Who's Going Riding!
Dates are set. We usually camp at Troy Meadows overflow, but MCtrails found a place where the trout are practically right in the campsite which I'd like to go to maybe. Bummer on the early July dates, I can't make it this year maybe next. -

Well I went to the public information meeting along with about 12 other people . That's better than the turnout at the Riverside meeting last night...1 person. Oh well, this is just the beginning of the EIR process...public information gathering. If you want your voice heard fill out the questionnaire on www.planocotillowells.com -

I agree that posting here doesn't mean much or anything for that matter, but the interest shown in this thread about the "friendly" ranger types concerns me. The "friendly" rangers are only interacting with users to pacify them so that when they pull the rug out from under us we won't feel like we just got totally hosed. Believe it or not when Tlking6 allowed the ranger to sound check his bike, though seemingly innocent, that data gathered will most likely be used in any EIR and I'm sure it won't be used in favor of ORV users (even though it was an idle check it may be used to compare to ambient background sound levels). Look, I'm not expecting a bunch of reply's on this forum saying "We're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore" but I just want to bring to everyone's attention that this PR campaign by the State is not an attempt to embrace the offroad culture. I hope I'm just being paranoid and none of my instincts come to fruition but in my twenty-five years of riding I have NEVER seen riding areas expand or even remain the same as a result of an EIR and general plan revision. I hope some riders come to the information meeting tonight. -

I want to bump this thread. Does everyone have their heads in the sand? No one is concerned about this general plan revision besides me and lemieuxmc? Unbelievable. -

OK, I just read through the web site and state parks department is holding a public information meeting regarding the general plan update for Ocotillo Wells in El Cajon on Feb. 11 at the Ronald Regan Center at 6 pm. I would urge whoever can attend to do so and make their voice heard for maintaining Ocotillo Wells SVRA as an open riding area. I have a bad feeling about where this general plan update will lead ---- Travel management and limited use areas. -

I don't want to sound like 'Chicken Little', but any general plan revision and resulting EIR will most likely result in a reduction of our riding area. Enjoy it while you can. -
Corral Canyon 01/12/10
Badfish2 replied to dirt dame's topic in 1 to 3 Day Ride Write-Ups, Stories and Photos
New Corral Map It is trail 912 just south of trail 911 (old trail number 11, Gun Slinger) Woo hoo! Motorcycles only designation, I like it. -

Badfish2 replied to dirt dame's topic in 1 to 3 Day Ride Write-Ups, Stories and Photos
IS there a corral canyon trail map that has this new trail overlayed on it? I'd like to see where this trail is relative to the existing trails. -

At 250 degrees I don't think there's a problem. Remember these are air cooled motors and will run quite a bit hotter than thier water cooled counter parts. When you shut the bike off after riding do you hear a "tink" type sound coming from the cylinder? This type of sound seemed to be the tell tale sign of the XR air cooled motor running hot (contraction of the metal). As long as you'er not pushing 275-300 deg. I think you're OK.
