  1. Hodaka's are easy to bring back to life, there is a very big following, lots of NOS parts and repoped parts. A ton on ebay and a bunch of Hodaka Club members with parts. Here is a recent one brought back from dead from one of the club members.

  2. My first real bike was a super rat. I would still like to pick one up as part as a project that was semi started and not a ground up build.

Well I do happen to have one I can part with. Your talking about a Model 93 Chrome Tank I would think as its the most notable Hodaka.

You can see it has some cool 70s period mods, total custom swingarm, full floating rear brake. I do have a stock frame and swing arm also to bring it back to stock .

  3. I would of just kept at minis IMO. I have a KLX 110 and have done mini days before and had a blast. CALVMX has a mini class thats a blast. I know not everyone has a mini around but mini is mini, tiddler if you want 200cc and under. Again just my own thoughts.

Kelly how do you like the KLX110? Are you still running the 3 speed auto? What suspension mods? The KLX/DRZ110 is a cool little bike that comes with a lighting coil in the stock stator and can be made into a 4 speed auto by bolting in a new gear drum.

ps I still need to arrange pickup of the KLR bottom end some day soon

All this talk of minis makes me wish I didn't sell my CT70 and modified TTR-90.

Tim the KLX is a nice little bike and will put a light on it. I plan to mod it just a little, its the bike my boy has progressed too from the XR50. I may add the manule clutch. Its a great pit bike.

I can gather up the KLR bottom end and other stuff and bring to the my house. You guys should not have any trouble the kick start bottom end if you decide not to use it.

  4. I have felt your pain. For my 3 modern 4 strokes I start them every other week. I have never had a problem with the 2 strokes sitting. Lucky I have my RV here at the house a start the gen monthly. For the lawn equipment I run them enough. I do know at the lawn mower shop you can buy lead fuel in a 1/2 gal, it cost around 5 bucks. The guy said its just for this issue.

  6. When we towed a jeep I found it a bit limiting , do we jeep or ride. I didn't want to tow a big flat bed, so this is my set up. Toyota 4x4, been using this set up for about 6 years. I been in the dunes of Oregon to the rocks in Moab. I can put three vintage bike or 2 modern bikes with no problem.

  7. Anyone else noticing all the fires. I dont know if the rear tank is such a good thing if your bike is going into burst into flames after a crash.

Even Robby Gordon is having fuel problems.

I am confident HRC can solve this, thats the main reason to race, the brand new bike.

If you saw this thing last night you would think so also.

OK I watched the robot and I think so what?? Its going to cure the fuel problem.
