I tried SDAR.com and it goes somewhere else.

Ok the Super Rat is spoke for and I know the new owner will do it good. Another cool thing is when you can trace some history to these things. A Hodaka Club member just picked up this cool flat tracker in Ohio with roots here in California built by Larry Powell.
After looking in some Cycle News Archives we found this.

Hodaka's are easy to bring back to life, there is a very big following, lots of NOS parts and repoped parts. A ton on ebay and a bunch of Hodaka Club members with parts. Here is a recent one brought back from dead from one of the club members.
Don't get me wrong depending with what you have to start with and how far you want to go can add up to alot of $$ But the satifaction is wonderful. Here is the last one I saved.

That does look like my old super rat. What would you want for that?
I would need to get $700
-
My first real bike was a super rat. I would still like to pick one up as part as a project that was semi started and not a ground up build.
Well I do happen to have one I can part with. Your talking about a Model 93 Chrome Tank I would think as its the most notable Hodaka.
You can see it has some cool 70s period mods, total custom swingarm, full floating rear brake. I do have a stock frame and swing arm also to bring it back to stock .

I would of just kept at minis IMO. I have a KLX 110 and have done mini days before and had a blast. CALVMX has a mini class thats a blast. I know not everyone has a mini around but mini is mini, tiddler if you want 200cc and under. Again just my own thoughts.
Kelly how do you like the KLX110? Are you still running the 3 speed auto? What suspension mods? The KLX/DRZ110 is a cool little bike that comes with a lighting coil in the stock stator and can be made into a 4 speed auto by bolting in a new gear drum.
ps I still need to arrange pickup of the KLR bottom end some day soon
All this talk of minis makes me wish I didn't sell my CT70 and modified TTR-90.
Tim the KLX is a nice little bike and will put a light on it. I plan to mod it just a little, its the bike my boy has progressed too from the XR50. I may add the manule clutch. Its a great pit bike.
I can gather up the KLR bottom end and other stuff and bring to the my house. You guys should not have any trouble the kick start bottom end if you decide not to use it.

are you looking to find a new home for it? Others?
Chris, I now have three Combat Wombat's and a bunch of other Hodaka's and a rare Rickman Hodaka. Yes I have been trying to thin the bunch. My storage is in Sun City if you ever want to take a look.
-
Very nice. I would've saved it, too. Is it a true Combat Wombat?
PS - I like your trailer.
Ken, did'nt you have a CW as a kid?

I agree, topics for me appear and disappear when I do a new content refresh. I see things on my desk top and its different on my phone.

True, I think if they were all put on the exact same bikes we'd have a very similar season.
True, but last Saturday, when Steve's bike over heated on this easy trail,
I was reminded why I cheer more for the other colors.http://dualsport-sd....982#entry167982
Steve's bike is not set up properly period!
Why is this guy on the ground? Did he have a get off?

I vote for more racing discussion and less brand/personal discussions
I welcome other opinions Via PM
I'm sending you my opinion. I did see Jim Gibson finish 3rd in the 500cc open class at Day in the Dirt a couple years ago. Oh yea, he was riding a Yamaha YZ 100.

I ride Hodaka because they are bullet proof, see right here. 100cc Hodaka Road Toad on the TAT http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=893598
I also like saving lots and lots of money.

Chris, Happy Birthday

I have felt your pain. For my 3 modern 4 strokes I start them every other week. I have never had a problem with the 2 strokes sitting. Lucky I have my RV here at the house a start the gen monthly. For the lawn equipment I run them enough. I do know at the lawn mower shop you can buy lead fuel in a 1/2 gal, it cost around 5 bucks. The guy said its just for this issue.

Charlie, look forward to seeing you there. This will be my third but still feel like a noob because I still have not mastered my GPS beyond the on button. Yes be ready for any weather.

Apparently the Donate Button on the Home Page still works.
Don't forget to include your name / screen name and a phone number so Randy knows his friends.
See y'all at 6:00pm
I made mine today.

At least you didn't get a PM from "Team Red" like I did...
"Do you think you could keep up with a 2005 XR 650 L in the dirt on your 950?"
It used to be amusing now it's getting lame.
Darn, I thought I was the lucky one to get a PM.

Anyone else noticing all the fires. I dont know if the rear tank is such a good thing if your bike is going into burst into flames after a crash.
Even Robby Gordon is having fuel problems.
I am confident HRC can solve this, thats the main reason to race, the brand new bike.
If you saw this thing last night you would think so also.
OK I watched the robot and I think so what?? Its going to cure the fuel problem.

With Kkug riding his 450 at his best in Baja whoops, can you keep up on your 950?WTF does that have to do with The DAKAR?
Come'on Hammer, stop being such a "tool"
Let's just enjoy this yearly/epic event!

I don't have a DR but sounds like a cool time. Maybe another time though, this weekend CLAVMX at Cahilla Creek.
