Now THAT's devotion to the sport.......I can't even get up that early let alone LEAVE to ride that early........I'm more of a 4pm guy than a 4am guy .....have fun! That comes from years of fishing. It's easier for me to get up early than to stay up late. And considering my mediocre skill level...it's devotion and boundless optimism.

Thanks for the ride guys, the couple of hours riding was enough for me as a warm up for my trip to Sequoia. You'll have to make the trip up there sometime and I'll show you some great single track and we can piece together some incredible rides. But you might be bored with the lack of rocks. The loamy dirt and smooth single track up there would lull you to sleep. Also, I checked for the oil leak, and realized that it's the manual cam chain tensioner that seeps oil. The oil followed the gasket line around the head and looked like a leaking head gasket. So the good news is that I only need to clean the engine and mcct. Hopefully after I spend 3 or 4 days riding next week I'll be able to come back and ride a longer ride than today. Thanks again.

6am, Pine Valley, just off the 8 at the exit just before the Sunrise Highway, correct? I ordered new MT16's and they're due tomorrow. I hope to have them installed for this ride.

I'm trying to get some practice for a trip to Sequoia Natl forest. Sequoia rides have a good amount of tight single track, fire roads, and quad trails. I did Bull Run last year, but I don't really want anything that tough. I'm not the fastest, especially on the pig drz. Rock climbs? I'd have to see it to make the call. 6am is good for me.

I can make next Monday work. How early do you get going?

I'd like to get out mid week for a ride at Corral. I've never been there on a MC so hopefully with someone that knows the terrain. I'm not a new rider, but not a hot shot racer either. Anyone up for a ride?

I'm interested in this ride, but am wondering what skill level you think this ride will be? Pretty easy or big hill climb madness? I've ridden at McCain Valley, Ocotillo Wells, and some single track rides up in the Sequoia National Forest. Not a totally new rider, but still a little cautious.

Guess I'm going to miss this ride also. I wonder if Corral Canyon is open after the rains? Does anyone know if it'll be open on Thursday? Sorry for the hijack. Tom
