The trip I want to do someday.....

Damn ya beat me to it =)
  6. Looks like a lot of fun, been riding out there many times. Hope I can catch up with some of you soon, would love to ride with ya.
  7. I played with the BeachComber/OMBAC guys many times over the last 14 years, we may have crossed paths at some point. Currently I coach High School Lacrosse at Cathedral Catholic High School. That doesn't start till February 17th, and there are NO weekend obligations, so plenty of riding to be had. That little track that is carved out is kinda small, but fun. It is 1 of 2 that I have found in about the same area. It is HERE. I think there are 4 ways to get there, 1 of which is always locked directly off 94. 3 other ways to get there from where we usually park at Campo. Would be happy to meet some people out there and ride around for a day. Tecate is close and easy to pull into and have lunch at the Submarina there on Green Sticker Bikes.
  8. So I'm the new guy here, and this is my first post in this section. Looking forward to more fun posts of good riding. So here's me standing next to the FIRST vehicle I have ever purchased off the dealer lot, my new '07 WR450F: And for the ride report, here goes: My cousin and I took our bikes ('07 WR450F & '07 WR250F) out to Campo for a ride to Tecate and up in the hills near the border. Here are a few pics from our 2, single day trips: Kinda squirly jump, hard left hander into an uphill jump. That's my girl in the back on the TTR125. Same jump...kinda looks weird jumping a bike with a headlight...or is it just me? Same area, different jump, far easier going down hill with a straight take off: Lastly, my Christmas present to myself: (The bench portion) This is how I get the bikes from place to place: That's it for this time

I currently own: '07 Yamaha WR450F '03 Kawasaki KLX300 '02 TTR125 I have been riding a lot lately in the Campo/Tecate/Pine Valley/McCain Valley areas. Typically riding either Sat/Sun almost every weekend. Currently just a Green Sticker rider, but working on getting the KLX Street Legal to do some DS rides. Happy New Year

    new rider - XR 650L

Gear I live by the principle, ATGATT. (All The Gear, All The Time) When I ride on the dirt, I have boots, knee guards, chest protector, elbow guards, and of course a Helmet. Riding on the street you should at least have a pair of mock riding boots, pull over riding pants, good jacket with elbow and shoulder protection, and even some back protection along with your helmet. Better safe, and hot, than dead. Gear Locations I've found Cycle Parts west, off the 805 and El Cajon Blvd. (West side) to be very good and competitive prices. Small selection, but most of the major stuff you can get in a pinch there. South Bay MotorSports off the 805 and Main down in the Chula Vista area has a bit bigger selection, and they have a showroom. I bought my WR450 there and got a good deal on it. On the Web, I order from Rocky Mountain, Dennis Kirk, and MotoSport Hope some of that helps.
