The Zumo series has a fatal flaw if you are riding with tracks in that it will not store\display saved tracks. Tracks are the method most offroad users use to navigate. IMO the new Garmin Montana 700 or the Montana 610 would be better for backcountry trail use. I have no issues seeing my 610 in the sunlight.

5 days in Idaho + Props to the Seat Concepts Crew

Thanks. Over the 5 days we rode some great trails. Started south down by Oreana and moved our staging north each day. Some great terrain. We did spend two days around Silver City before day 4 when the bike issue struck. On day 5 three of us attended to extracting the down bike. The rest of the crew rode Hemingway Butte. -

Yeah the stuck float was not that big a deal other than he was going through fuel really fast. I think I figured at one point he was getting 10 mpg. This was the first time I've had to rescue an FI bike. That was a little more complicated. I wish I had looked at the bike before abandoning it but it was getting late and I figured we better not waste any more time before getting out of there.Maybe I would have noticed that it was the JD kit harness and not the bike harness. To be fair the guy who did look at it is more of a mechanical guy. Would have been a very COLD night if we couldn't get out. -

Hit it midweek so they were closed! -
$40. Pretty good deal right now. I have one of these and it has served well https://www.costco.com/type-s-lithium-jump-starter-portable-power-bank-with-led-flashlight.product.100425276.html

Only run them on my Xterra. Seem to wear on par with the gen 1 BFG's. The truck gets truck tires so I can't comment on how they wear on a heavier vehicle.
-
Never have needed a warranty. Rotation at Discount many locations - 45 minutes. At 4WP one location 2+ hours even though they only had one other customer👎
-
Bought my last set of BFG AT's at 4WP. Great price but I regret it. It's a major hassle to get routine rotation and balance with them. Spend a few bucks more and go to Discount Tire.

Any idea where the pin drop is? -
I had a fuel pump go out on my XP1000. It turned out that it was just an oring in the housing that became dislodged allowing the outlet flow of the pump to return back to the tank. I don't know if the 570 uses a similar pump but if you determine it's a pump issue you might want to disassemble it and inspect before replacing the entire pump assembly.

What model Polaris?

If you look at the image that he texted on Saturday the shroud was already missing so it appears he removed them intentionally.

That doesn't look anything like Canyon of the Ancients. Those are Ancients In A Canyon!
-
Email sent. There are a limited number of legal routes through the area making it tough to make a loop ride without doing significant pavement. https://www.blm.gov/sites/blm.gov/files/2018_ Canyons of the Ancients Transportation Map_proof.pdf As a side note it's right adjacent to Tomac's ranch...

Rode there last fall. I'll email you a track.

You can also get the fitting here. https://www.freshwatersystems.com/products/lcd17005v-valved-in-line-hose-barb-coupling-body-5-16-id-barb-fkm-viton-o-ring -
The map gets installed in the Garmin map folder. You can see it in Basecamp now so all is good there. Installing the map should have no effect on USB connectivity. Not sure what's going on there. Did you try rebooting the PC? Also are you using the same cable you've been using? I've had issues with some usb cables not working so maybe try another cable?

You need to use a 7z extractor and not the generic Zip file extractor. You can download one here: https://www.7-zip.org/ Then extract the folder using 7z to a destination folder of your choosing. Once extracted the folder should look like this: Double click on "install_US Mountain_OSM_Topo.bat" (or Pacific if that's the one your loading). It will open a CMD window and prompt you to press any key to continue. After you press the key the window will close and the install batch file will run. Give it about a minute and then open Basecamp. The map should appear in the list of maps. From there you can use Mapinstall to put the map on the Montana.

Where did you load the maps from? They shoud have downloaded as an EXE file. if the downloaded as a gmap file you need an installer. Can you provide a link to where you got them?
-
There’s the issue. Gmap is the format to load maps into Basecamp or Mapsource. Once they are loaded into Basecamp as mentioned you use Map Install to load them onto the gps. You can’t just directly copy them to the sd card.
-
What were the file names of the files you downloaded?
-
Go into the the Map display page, the tap the 3 bars, select setup map. That will bring you to a menu. One option in that menu will be "select map". tap that and it should bring up a list of all the maps that are loaded into the gps (internal & sd card). Enable\disable the maps as desired.
