Baja Dick- I am very interested in riding 'the baja'. I was just down there two weeks ago camping with some friends at Gaudalupe Canyon... I would love to take the dirt bikes down there with someone who can lead the way. keep me posted on any upcoming rides. thanks, -james -

Baja camping spots...?
jlsche0 replied to jlsche0's topic in Baja Info, Upcoming Rides, Ride Reports, Photos, etc.
Are you thinking about by yourself ? I've been hearing more bad things about Baja.......it's just not the place it used to be. Mr. Beretta would be a welcome passenger (don't discuss here, go to MO Forums for discussion about that). If I were you, I wouldn't camp unless you're in a decent size group. Also, I think the further south you go, the better it is safetywise. agreed Randy... the stories you hear from people about hold-ups and corrupt police are a bummer... i would go with a couple of friends and we would be looking for a spot further south. -

Pine Valley Ride / Kernan Cycle trail

I went with some aluminum CR High bars for our DRZ400S. They are a bit taller than the stock bars, it's a pretty good setup. I stayed with 7/8" bars but I prefer the big bars. When these bend I'll get some bar adapters and go with the 1 1/8" bars. tnt- I was out earlier today and came home with Renthal 7/8" handlebars $74 bucks... (they seem to give me 1 1/2"-2" of additional rise). My stock drz bars are pretty straight so I actually went with the ATV Renthals which seem to also be straight and give me the rise I was looking for... From what i learned today it seems to me that the CR High bars have a more angled bend to achieve the additional height... is that correct? any concerns about what i bought? thanks again,
