Missed ya last weekend, we rode in the sand/mud in Anza Borrego. Looking to get out again and further test the new bike, Let me know what's happening!
  2. Rain, who wudda thunk? Well I gotta ride so I'm still going. I am changing camping to Vallecito County Park I will be in space #13 and have room for one more tent or if you prefer there are other spaces. Anybody who wants to ride meet up at the park entrance around 11am Sat. or come by the camp site. We will figure out where to ride once we are there as there are several options. If ya wanna ride Sun. I'm in too. Feel free to call me, I don't know if I will have service. Steve (619) 654-6475
  3. I think I will be camping in open area in Blair Valley. There is a large area by the dry lake which is open for camping on state forest land, been there before and you can camp where you please. Check out this link, we will set up a camp and have a metal fire ring so if you want all you need is a tent and food and you can leave whatever you like at camp so you don't have to carry it for the ride as my wife and dog will be in camp. I think we should try to meet up at the S2 and Blair valley exit for anyone interested and go from there about 11 am Sat. let me know what works for you guys. Sunday I'm open for whatever. Feel free to cal me 619-645-6475 http://www.eugenecarsey.com/camp/anza-borr...blairvalley.htm
  4. I'll be camping in the area with my wife and am able to ride Sat/Sun if anyone else is in to camping lets see if we can put together some riding and camping, Captcham
  5. I just got a new to me 06 640 Adventure and am looking to get in a easy ride to get the feel for the bike. If your headed out this weekend I would be interested in riding. I have experience desert ridding in Mexico so sand I know but don't love.
  6. I would like to ride in Big Bear Friday after Thanksgiving if anyone is interested. Looking at doing the Big Pine Flat trail. About 30 miles more or less depending on where we go. I think there are several options so what ever works. I'm riding a Dakar 650 so I'm more into cruising than any motocross stuff. Suggestions or comments, let me know. I'll be coming out of Big Bear City.
  7. Well it looks like it's me and the bears, I will be in Big Bear by this afternoon and can ride anytime thru Friday so if anyone wants to go give me a call as I won't be on the internet. (619) 654-6475 Steve 2002 BMW Dakar
  8. I will join you guys if it's OK, I'm riding from Downtown so if anybody is trucking it and has room for me and my Dakar it would be better than riding all the way from the house. Either way I'll see ya in the a.m. Steve (619) 654-6475
  9. What are the details of the ride? How long, paved sections, etc. Difficultly level? I'm interested in riding Sunday and can truck in or ride in.
  10. Looking for some guys who ride the bigger 650+ bikes for dual sport rides in San Diego or where ever. I ride a BMW Dakar 650 which has been modified a little for off road. I prefer off road to pavement- fire roads, etc. If your into adventure rides or even some over night camping trips, yeah I load down the Hippo with camping gear and ride double up with the wife for long trips. Thinking about getting a short ride on Sunday from S.D. to Julian or there abouts just to get out. If anybody is interested let me know, could really use some local knowledge of the back roads as it seems everything in So Cal is paved. :boast:
