We did this at least once before, had an EMT do a class for us. Will try to arrange a class again.

If anyone knows someone willing to put on a class for the club, lemme know and we can arrange a class. I'm going to check with someone I know.

Then there's a local company in Escondido called Motoport, made right here in the good ole USA, made for the long haul and major trips. Their Kevlar Mesh and heavy duty armor is the best protection around, plus the mesh breathes better than any of those Klim or whatever suits mentioned above. When it gets cold, you just put on layers underneath and when it gets down to 40 degrees you just put on an outer windbreaker or rainsuit as an outer layer to break the wind. It's not for everyone, but I've been using their stuff for many years. In my opinion, Klim and some other gear is overpriced and overrated. If your just riding locally in the mountains and desert, than an outer jacket over a decent chest protector with elbow guards, etc. is a much less expensive way to go. Rad SDAR President and Founder

Still don't know exactly what happened, but it doesn't matter. I don't think I'll be sharing rides from here over to our FB Group anymore. If people here are on FB and want to share their rides there, great.

We've ridden down it on many big bikes, including 950 Adventures, BMW 1200 GS's, it just looks more intimidating than it really is.

One more thing...the way to Heart Attack Hill is not easy, lots of rocks and some rock steps...please don't take noob riders on that unless they know what they're getting into.

I can't wait to get my 950 Adventure running....I want to ride with you guys in the Dez, I know the area really well, been riding it for almost 30 years. I hope to have my 950 running within the next month or so.
