Mimi, is that your bike ??????

We already have a forum section for Street Bikes & Street Riding.......see my post in the OPEN DISCUSSION about voicing your opinion on additional section for street.

Rob is a good friend of mine. He is still building his brand name cafe racers and sending back to Europe for serious cash. Yeah, I've been to Rob's shop many times, and he's done some small, custom fabricating for me. I've seen his bikes as he builds them......very cool stuff !!

GPS, GPS, GPS.......doesn't anyone like to find their own way to new places, using maps anymore ?

I'll be up for a street ride sometime.....I'll bring the 950, since I don't have a street-only bike anymore. But then again, the 950 works great as a street bike too !! At some point on the ride though, might have to break off and do a little bit of dirt somewhere

Pretty cool project !! Can't wait to see when it's done. Rob North (Brit) down in National City, still builds Triumph race bikes custom also.....he's an interesting, old guy.

Mikey took a few pics with me on the 950 and the bitchin' view behind........Oriflamme Canyon below. Not many pics today....just some great riding and exploring locally. We explored more near the Julian Landfill, looking for new trails, but they all looped or dead-ended, didn't find anything worthwhile. I dropped it hard again, while turning around on another rocky uphill, this time on the opposite side It was getting late in the day, and we rode in to the Wrong Branch Saloon in Julian for lunch at 4:30pm. They lost their liqour license recently, so after throwin' a burger down our necks, we went to the BBQ place for a cold one, then headed home on pavement and got home about 6:00pm. No complaints on our 190 mile day.

Me at the dead end, Maddog in the previous pic Maddog slidin' the big pig around a corner on Deer Park Riding through the pine forest on Deer Park....some pines lived, while much of the forest burned a couple years ago......what a shame After heading up Deer Park to Sunrise Hwy. again, we stopped at the overlook where the hang gliders launch from and talked to another rider on his Harley, we had a lot in common.....we exchanged stories, as he was also a roadracer (Ducatis) and interested in getting an Adventure Bike and knew my friends down at GP Motorcycles downtown. Later, we explored a double secret, special trail in the Oriflamme Canyon/Mason Valley Truck Trail vicinity.....(again, see Member's Only Post) After more exploring, I dropped it hard while turning around, on these rocks Because we decided not to head up this on our big pigs.....

Conway, N.H......been there. New Hampshire and Maine are my 2 favorite NE states. Great photos and trip !!

I've been stung in the face a few times.......I wear a full-face helmet, but often have the shield up for air. Just 2 weeks ago in Ramona, was a minor one. At least a couple of those times, my face swelled up and I looked like the Elephant Man. I sometimes have an allergic reaction to certain bee stings.

John, where you at now ?? Inquiring minds want to know.........you're not home yet, are you ? If still on the road, hope you're having a great ride on the way back !!

Reading 2Wheels recent Sierra trip post, and then HondaPilot's post about memories of his beach to river trip, made me go back to read this write-up so I could re-live my trip again........so I'm giving it a bump to share it also

Last time I went through about 3 weeks ago, Roy's was open for gas......but it's often closed, so better to check ahead of time.

I'll keep you posted, if I don't go to Reno for work next week, then I'll go on this ride. Maybe I should be a real man and ride the 950 up, do the ride, then ride home DigDug, wanna take your 950 up on this ride ???
