    Wyoming BDR...It's Coming

    Do they allow KTM’s?
  2. Excellent write up on your trip to AZ! Also great info about big bike stuff. I grew up riding/racing lightweight 2 strokes. Then got into road bikes but still had the desire to get back in the dirt. So I decided to take the big bike plunge. The KTM 1290 R is an amazing machine. I have few hundred miles on it now trying to do my best imitation of my former self on a CR250. It’s quite the steep learning curve. Sand is an adventure but completely doable on a big bike. I agree with everything Zubb stated about learning to flow with the bike. Don’t fight it!
  3. Great to see family pictures from Ocotillo Wells. I learned to ride there in the ‘80s with my family! It’s the reason why I’m still riding today creating new memories with my son!
  4. Was out there last weekend testing the sand washes with the big KTM. Reminded myself that I’m not in my twenties anymore.
  5. Anyone up for a Sunday morning ride around mountains? Big Bike friendly. Trying to take advantage of this cooler weather if possible. Route of your choice. Short notice I know but doesn’t hurt to ask.

    Las Vegas ideas ?

Check out the Nation Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas. It’s just off the strip and has all the history about the nuclear bomb testing site that was about 60 miles north of town.
  7. So it’s canceled?….

Hello all, my name is Robert and I'm new to the group. I have a KTM 1290 SAR that Im still breaking in. Im from San Diego and spent most of my youth riding two and three wheels in our local deserts. Have some racing experience under my belt, including motocross, desert and Baja on two wheels. I've slowed down a bit, which is much easier on the body, but am still up to the challenge of running along some local trails and washes. Getting to experience all of the areas accessible to street legal bikes is awesome. Hope to meet up with some of you and enjoy riding our back county areas.
