Sounds awesome. You and the Yamaha both look familiar. Do you live by sunset cliffs? -

Need Die Cut Stickers Made for My Ride Blog

Try James Gang in OB. Corner of Bacon St and Santa Monica St. They are the ones who make all those famous OB stickers you see everywhere. Take Doc for a swim while you're there! -
Not a ride report since the bike was at home in a bunch of pieces (sad face) but was anyone out in Ocotillo Friday night? I headed out in the jeep friday evening to test out some new camp gear and do some shooting the following morning. Set up at around 8pm (still 107 degrees) about 8 miles north of shell canyon rd in the mud hills. Made some dinner and relaxed, few beers around the fire with a buddy, not a soul in sight. At around 1 am we got hit with the nastiest sand storm Ive ever been in, out of nowhere. Demolished parts of camp and I had to pack the rest of camp up to save it from littering the desert. Since it was so dark I couldnt really tell how bad the visibility was but the sand was blowing something fierce and just kept blowing. Woke up early the next morning and headed to Corral Canyon to escape the heat and possibility of another nasty sandy night. Im just curious to see if anyone else was out and experience this beast on Friday night

There's also room in the GL bag for your GLock. That'll help a bit with the bear situation!!

Thank you KTMrad. I need to find out how much this beast is gonna cost me and start selling body parts to pay for it haha. Recently spent my extra money buying the bike.... didnt expect this to happen -
Good Morning SDAR folks! I am in need of an honest and reliable mechanic for my bike. I was riding home a couple nights ago and it just bogged out and died on me. Fired it up, rode a few more blocks, and same deal. It just kept bogging and dying. It is electric start only so after a couple attempts I had to bump start it. I am new to riding so I lack the knowledge, tools, and space to diagnose and fix the problem. I left it over night and trucked it home the next day. After charging the battery I tried to fire it up and it just makes 1 "click" noise. Doesnt even try to start. Anyone know a good honest moto shop to take it to, preferably close to OB area? It is a 2010 klx250s with a 331 kit, bill blue carb, pipe...etc. Any advice on a good shop is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Dingo

Yup, Catastrophic sounds about right. Currently looking for a used head. Also looking for the money it will take to get it back up and running haha. Thanks again Tom, bad news is better than no news. Atleast I have an idea of where to start -

I put my ear to the starter when I hit the start button and I can hear it start to wind but then it stops when the click noise is heard. My neighbor has a multimeter I believe. Where should I start testing and what should I be looking for ? Sorry for being so clueless. I cant thank you guys enough for the advice -

Not turning over. No spark. Just the click noise which to me sounds like it is coming from the starter relay. It doesnt even try to turn over. -

I will stop throwing money at it haha. I wanted to replace these small maintenance parts anyways since I bought it used and don't know last time they were checked/replaced. But now I just want it running again. She has been down a month now and I am getting frustrated. How do I control the starting circuit? -

Correct - No kickstarter. Correct - He doesnt have one and Im pretty sure he doesnt need one with that rear rack attachment! haha Removed plug, put spark plug wire on it, key "on", hit starter button. No spark with my plug so I swapped with an old one neighbor had in the garage. Same plug just older. Did the same process and no spark with that either. Just ordered 2 CR8EIX NGK plugs for replacement -

UPDATE: Last night I replaced battery with a brand new one. Still no start. Same click noise coming from the starter relay area. All fuses good, battery good, full tank of gas, fresh oil and oil filter, fresh air filter, all wire connections are tight. I pulled out the spark plug and it was a little dirty so I sprayed some starter fluid on it and wiped it down. Seemed to be in good shape but NO SPARK! Swapped it out with an old matching one that my neighbor had pulled from his KTM a while back and that one gave no spark either. I know its a long shot that they both randomly went bad but I am going to replace it tonight with a freshie and see if I get spark. What would cause no spark and no starting given all the things I have checked? Bad starter maybe? The fact that there is no spark is concerning to me -

Haven't tried to bump start it yet because the seat, plastic, and guards are all off of it right now. The battery seems fine but I do not know how old it is since I bought the bike used. Maybe I will just buy a new battery cuz it cant hurt. Since I got sparks when I bypassed the starter relay, does anyone know if that means the relay is bad? The battery is bad? Stator is bad? I am horrible at troubleshooting electrical issues -

I crossed two screw drivers to connect each screw on the starter relay with the key on. Got Sparks and the click but the bike didn't start. To me it seems like battery is fine , could it be the starter? -
Searching for a Backpack Day / Overnighter

I would definitely consider Dakine. Ive only ever had to purchase 2 of them in my life and thats because the first one I bought got stolen out of my truck! They are tough, reasonably priced, and some models have a bladder. Although they were bought out, the original family still runs operations and they are awesome people. http://store.dakine.com/sport/bike/bags/backpacks.html
