Need a mechanic shop for Kawasaki

KLR have a problem with wire rub and shorting out, check to see if any of the wires are worn. Keep it simple, check the easy stuff first before you take it to a mechanic, how old is your battery? If battery is older than 2 years that is a possibility.

Hwy 94 to Tecate short cut?

Road Construction is done in Tecate, central plaza is real nice. My experiance is BP are always nice but will point out that there is a lot of private land and BLM that they use, none of it is theirs. Tecate peak is tribal land if I remember correctly. Next time I am over there I will investigate the route.
  8. Ok sounds great, if you see a few KLRs coming buy you know it is us.
  9. Ocotillo wells would be best place to meet up or on the 78/Borrego Springs Rd turn off?
  10. From what I understand we will leave from Julian, down banner grade and either use old kane springs road or enter Ocotillo wells then go ride up the Fish Creek Wash. We have another on a KLR who is joining us for a group of 4 klrs and a drz total 5 as of now.

    Fuel injected KLR!

Actually the next KLR will have fuel injection because it will be the only way to pass Europeon emissions, for the last few years they have not sold the KLR in Europe. KLR is dead now all they will sell is the KLX.

    Iove Baja

You could spend a month riding nothing but northern baja from Ensenada north on all the dirt roads, trails and tracks. I explore more and more every time I go out for a ride, I find new routes that my friends don't even know about whom have lived there whole lives down here. Sad part is due to new construction a lot of roads are disappearing due to progress. Nice video.
  17. Route from Valle de Guadalupe is open to La Mision, real green with little to no dust and a few puddles.

    noob ride

Sounds like all had a great time, next time I need to go and see how my klr stacks up. lol.
  22. I should not have to tell you how sorry I am to here about your bad experience. But my wife is a Doctor, schooled in Mexico, all medical schools in Mexico are recognized by California, my wife worked and retired from IMSS which is a federal hospital system in Mexico. Medical care in Mexico is the same or better than in the USA, it is not for profit so you get really good care, don't believe stupid stories you hear about Mexico. If your injured call for medical help right away, you will receive good to great care and when stable they will help you arrange for transfer to a US facility if you choose. Never take it upon yourself to not get medical treatment no matter what country your in the life you risk is not worth it. Ride safe and always assume the other person is not paying attention. Be prepared.
  23. Me and some KLR guys riding fish creek sunday, but sure sounds like fun.
