    I missed the last noob ride by like 2 minutes and I keep checking back, but it seems that my timing is always too late. So I'm wondering if anyone is doing something this weekend (or Thursday/Friday in the morning) that I could tag along. I'm itching to get on some dirt.

    I have very little offroad experience on a dirtbike. I mostly ride on the road and if I can find a trail, I'll take it, but I've never tried singletrack or anything like that. I will say that I'm fairly athletic and I have pretty good balance (for whatever that's worth) I ride a DRZ400s. I'd be willing to do any kind of terrain. I would say that I am actually a goon in that I have a tendency to do stupid stuff. Ideally I'd like to ride within an hour from University City, but I'm willing to go further.

    I just got a new set of handlebars and I would like to put my old handguards on them, but the new bars are not tapped. I looked into getting a tapping tool, but there aren't a lot of them online and they're at least $25. I feel like this is a common enough situation that there would be more product availability, so I was wondering if any of y'all had some wisdom to share on this. Do I need to just get the tapping tool or is there a better way of going about this?

    I was cutting off the ends of my grips and I just realized that the inner diameter of my tube is greater than the diameter of the bolt for my handguards. I guess this means that boring out is not the way to go. Does anyone know what I am supposed to do now? MY handlebars are Renthal Jimmy Buttons and the handguards are Acerbis Multiconcepts. Apparently when I removed the handguards, I destroyed the bar inserts, so now I need to get a new pair of those. Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it!

    Yeah, I'm talking about on the ends. The handguards I have were from the previous owner, and he still has whatever he used to install them. I still have the bolts, there just isn't anything to thread them into on my bars. I was going by this video (starting at 6:25)

    Hi y'all, my name is Mark. I grew up in San Diego and am going to school in Berkeley. I come back down to San Diego for the summers and I'd love to find people to ride with. I'm living in University City right now and I ride a DRZ400s. I ride mostly street but I much prefer dirt when I can find it. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good first ridealong coming up soon?

    Yeah, I was checking out a couple of the entrances to Rose. I couldn't find anything explicitly forbidding motorcycles, but I'm sure you're right about that. I'll check out the others though. Thanks!
