Welcome, I'm right around the corner in Santee... Also have a Harley if you're ever interested in doing some blacktop riding.

So I searched the threads and couldn't find any that talked about them, only went through the first 2 pages so there is probability that I missed one. But anyway. I was looking for a temp gauge for the KTM, I ended up on the Trail Tech website. Found the temp gauge for $85, then saw the computers for $125. Sooo, looking at the Vapor or Striker, looks like the only main difference is RPM vs Voltage readouts. Reaching out for opinions and thoughts, especially those that own them. Also, tips on install. Looking at the instructions they look pretty straight forward. Thanks! http://www.trailtech.net/computer-comparison

Great ride! AND Playing with the rattler was an extra bonus. -
As the topic states, Motoworld in El Cajon is offering 20% off chest plates. Not sure how long the sale is going for. I just picked up a Fox Racing Titan for $119, MSRP is $149.

Yup! However this time I took your advice and went with white vice black.

Just about to text you, see you at 0730. -
Ended up going with the Shoei VFX-W, I was rather unimpressed with the Fox line-up and HJC did not have a consistent fit. HJC seemed to fit differently depending on the model. Shoei felt like home and MotoWorld included goggles (Oakley Proven) with the purchase of the helmet. The added military discount was also a nice touch!

In need of a new helmet, my last one got stolen out of my garage and my back-up helmet sucks. Looking to drop $300-$400 on it, any recommendations would be appreciated. Below is the one that got stolen. I liked it but got uncomfortable after about an hour of riding. http://www.bikerperformance.com/afx-fx-17-american-flag-off-road-motorcycle-helmet-stealth-black-p13430.html

Lots of good info, appreciate it! Gonna spend my Saturday driving around to different shops and shoving my head in some.

Thanks for the info, I wear a Shoei on the street and have owned HJC before. But have owned neither for a dirt helmet.

Sending prayers your way.

Actually been here for about 2 months now. Fairly new to the adventure riding/enduro scene, been riding street for 13 years, dirt for about 2. My current off road bike is a 01 KX250, but after talking to BlakeNY9 while we served in Afghanistan I have decided to get something more conducive to destination riding. Vacman was kind enough to let me borrow his 565 a couple weeks ago, and I have since made the decision that I must pursue this new hobby. Therefore a purchase must be made, hopefully within the upcoming weeks. Anyway, my name is Tim ( I think I am Tim number 3 on the forum) and just bought a place out in Santee. Look forward to meeting/riding with everyone.
