The freedom of this quest will sweep you away from the monotony of weekday work life, giving you a chance to live and dissolve any feelings of resfeber that may be bottling up inside as your anticipating being elsewhere this week.
Amen 350. while I may not be solivagent, I am looking forward to dissolving my resferber all next week.

Meaning optional.
Similiar route to the other night. Your 300 will do just fine..(so long as you aim for the kicker).
And I can be talked into a night ride.
Expecting low temps, lower than last Saturday.
Thanks roadwar your invited. I can lead this one though, and answer questions about weather and conditions. I ride the Dez every weekend , day or night, warm or cold, flooded or dry, with or without a crew .
Thanks for the invite 305bumber, I'm good with the weather and conditions.. Pretty sure North and West Red Feather is highway legal only. May get chased by a ranger maybe not. I'll be out of town heading way North and try to find some cool mountain single track not on fire.

What kind if range do I need l (would the 300 be ok?)
If this ride doesn't work out, I'd probably be in for another night ride Saturday......
I ride there quite often when it's not a million degrees in the shade. it's plated only.

Looks fun... you driving?

I did that route the other way a couple of weeks ago. Late Friday afternoon start, took Tapiado instead Vallecito by mistake. It turned into a nice desert nite ride, didn't get back to the truck at Pinyon till 10 PM.

I think some nite riding would be fun. I might come by and see how you're doin.

May have to reroute due to fire off of Palomar Divide Rd.
Forest service says...
#CutcaFire now 75-100 acres, helicopters will be flying handcrews to the fire.
This is a ride Iv'e been looking to do for a while but can't make Saturday. So since I had the day off I went today. I started from Ramona but took Pamo to 12S07, Sutherland, 78 to 79 then up to the look out. From the look out I saw the early stages of the fire about 5 PM. By the time I got to the end of the divide trail at 79 the gate was locked. I had to lower some 4 strand to get to the road.

Cute, what's the plan?

I'd go but I can't find my passport. Think I could get by with my DL?

I stopped use the Aquatica parking / entrance because a local guy warned of possible parking tickets. Never got ticketed but now I prefer to use the end of La Media road for access. Continued development from the north, It will probably be covered with townhomes in a few years.

Here is what it was like last Sunday. Video on the way back to the truck.

I used these guys for my Harley. From Sequim WA. to La Mesa, no problems.
