Hmmmmmmm I can’t imagine a different rectifier making a difference but I could be wrong. I can see somehow reducing the electrical loading on the system would make more power (less electrical loading = less counter resistance on the alternator = motor spins freer making more power) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I did the D37 sprint enduro last September and it was a blast. Some really nice technical sections and wicked hill climbs and waterfall downhills. And plenty of carnage on some of the hill climbs to keep things interesting too. Really cool race format. Definitely going to be doing those races again. All of the D37 races I've done so far have had some good challenging sections to keep you on your toes.

This was funny watching all the noobs going up this not so difficult section about 3mi (?) from the start. Pete, Kenny, and I go by starting at about 2:40 in from the top left of the screen.

It was a good ride. Bummed we didn’t finish but we made a good effort and I feel better about making the effort to go the hard route than just taking the easy way. Definitely want to try again next year if I get the chance. It was a good learning experience and I’ll be better prepared for next time for the mental/physical aspect to go the distance.

Yeah I was surprised to see so many other plated 2-strokes. Wasn’t paying attention to the state of the plates though. CHP was on scene at the finish and impounded a few bikes. They weren’t cutting any slack for bikes without current/legal registration. Having an Arizona plate with a CA license may or may not be an issue.

Live coverage this weekend on Redbull TV. Starts 9am Saturday for pre-race stuff. 5am on Sunday for final. Packed field as usual. Really interested to see how the Alta bikes do on this huge stage.

Just saw the bike in person and spoke in person with factory Honda guy who’s ridden the bike. Makes power in mid 40s and wheelies out of the box. It’s a good looking bike. Anyone who gets one won’t be disappointed

The 25hp claim is a bogus claim. It’ll make power close to the CRFX numbers

Probably the funnest ride I’ve had to date. Weather was perfect. Scenery was amazing. And a good mix of relaxing fire road and tough technical to keep things interesting. Oh and we stumbled on a great place for beers and sandwiches for lunch! All around perfect recipe for a dual sport ride. And big thanks to Pete for giving me some premix along the way. I owe you some beers bud.

I would never let dust or heat stop me from riding. Life's too short and there are too many good places to ride to be a fair weather rider.

Saw the original 24HP claim and thought nope. No way that would work. But now seeing it’s within 4hp of the X (which is easily just the difference in exhaust and tuning), it’s starting to look enticing. Weight doesn’t consern me too much. A good suspension setup has always been more important to me and if you’re so concerned about having to pick up a little extra weight you should stop dropping your bike so much . Might be time to trade up the ole 250L this fall and keep at least one red bike in my garage.
