Things are getting even more crazy here in Cali. The farmers are planting millions of new almonds in the valley and they require more water than almost any other crop. I know they have to make a profit, but sucking the Sacramento valley underground aquifer dry is not right. All the while we are conserving what amounts to a puddle of water!

Hmmm, how to say it best.... You see Dan's absence IS a Valentine's Day gift... I sure would like to know how he sold that... You are all right. The real truth is that Kathy had a root canal and so did I. Kathy on Tuesday and I had one today, so a nice dinner is not until next week. Plus I got the flowers and a card to give to her tomorrow night while we enjoy soup because neither of us can chew. Have a bottle of her favorite wine being delivered Saturday while I am away. So I am not the dirt bag you thought. She is the perfect wife, she has stuck with me for 30 yrs come this May. Way to go, Dan. -
