two rides in two weeks
Jeremy replied to bikeslut's topic in 1 to 3 Day Ride Write-Ups, Stories and Photos
We got to lark at about 10, here is Ben and his brand new Yamaha 450 and me with my new tires. He is looking forward to riding with the group. -
Not a big deal we had a great time breaking in Bens new bike, I guess Ben got broken in a bit too.
-
We are on our way out to lark, we got a late start. See you out there.

Added the day in OP.... oops, getting the guy to look at trail videos for both so he isn't thinking that lark will be a walk in the park. I looked at both and the only thing I didn't like when we went to lark was eating it in the sand at every turn; gotta get some faith in the new tires I guess. Checking with him to see what he thinks about lark instead. -
A buddy of mine just got his first dirt bike I am going to take him out to Corral Canyon (CC) to help him break it in on Sunday the 16th. He has zero experience off road and I am still new myself. I would have loved to go out to CC with you guys last week but a pregnant woman told me no and I have to live with her so I obliged... But this week I'm in. I have not done CC my self but from what the internet tells me it will be a good place for him to start off. On a side note I just ordered some Kenda K270s so I will have those on there for this ride they will be better than the slicks I had for Lark and CC claims to have less sand :mellow:/>/>

I am working on some added protection for the exposed hoses on the KLX. But the tape job held up like a rock, thanks McTrails.

Just now got back to the forum, good pictures better ride. I have not had that much fun riding for a long time, I am going to get back at it as soon as I find my new favorite tail light. Already ordered the new hose and I am looking at tires too. Very good first ride I will be going out with this group again

Might this help? http://goo.gl/maps/1dR5B Yes in fact that does quite a bit

I haven't been on a ride with you yet, I would love to go with you this Sunday. I will be sitting on the side of Mccain valley rd by the 8 overpass by 7:40 if someone would give me a wave I will follow, I haven't been to Lark before so I think its best that I don't try to find the "Oak tree" on my own. If you don't mind my tagging along all I really need to know is, do I need anything other than a plate for any area we will go to?

So I will just piggyback on this post since mine would just look so similar. I've been here in SD for a couple of years now and have finally gotten off my butt to meet some other riders. I have a Kawi KLX 250 S which I have beaten up for 15,000 miles of commuting and trails. I look forward to meeting you all in the near future.

Hello SDAR, I would like to go out on this ride with you all, I would also like to bring my father along, all we need is a loaner/$rental$ bike as he is here from Florida and I only have my bike. As far as I can tell Las Vegas and Los Angeles are the closest places to go rent a bike. So if you or someone you know would not mind renting us a bike I would be grateful. My number is 619-403-7629. Here is the link to my other post about it. My other post
